I assumed i would watch highschool of the dead till the end, sometimes complaining about how shitty it is. But after this clip from i suppose episode 8 i'm not going near to this trash ever again.

Even without the fanservice, it's just mindless gore and violence. Yet people still give it perfect 10 scores and call it "well written".

I've been watching Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi, K-On!! and Mitsudomoe this season. Also started watching Bakemonogatari.

Yeah I heard about that too. Paranoia Agent is cool, but if it's anything to go by (I've also seen Perfect Blue), his films are more adult and quite realistic, so much so that sometimes there isn't enough comedy or light heartedness to lift you from the depression of reality.

I just saw Astro Fighter Sunred 30 and lol'd hard. So glad I've been saving this series for a rainy day. It's just toooo awesome.

If she likes Nyan Koi, which I bet she will since harem comedies still involve romance, you might as well get seto no hayanome (i always get confused on the spelling so check it might be hayonome)... I'd tell you to check the rest of this thread but we're both too lazy to do that, so just use the search button and type "harem".

dammit Fuu, your vid got removed!

Yeah I saw that episode the other day. Japan sure has the weirdest ideas of how boobs look and work. And here I thought nothing would out-ridiculous Seikirei in that department.

There is just so little worth watching this season. I fall three episodes behind on everything frequently because nothing I'm watching has grabbed me. Seitokai Yakuindomo can be clever sometimes, but for every clever joke there's about twenty of the gist "sex is dirty and you shouldn't bring it up in normal conversations." That gets old. Occult Academy gets points for most random use of the Waldstein Sonata in soundtrack and that's about it. Shiki is crap, it's like it's trying to be Higurashi but it has no real main character and none of the ones it follows are all that interesting. Legend of Legendary Heroes fails to live up to the ridiculousness of its title. And of course there's HotD. Just... nothing. If One Piece wasn't in such a good place I'd have nothing to look forward to.

So I just finished reading a japanese novel called Loups-Garous - it wasn't really that good. Apparently though they've made it into an anime - looks like it just came out in Japan like last week. For some reason I can't fathom I actually want to see this thing - assuming someone subtitled/fantranslated it, does anyone know where I could find it?

I'm in the same boat as Gojira. One piece is like the only popular anime I'm watching or than sazae-san. I tried watching HOTD and i tried to ignore the fanservice. I was liking the 28 days Later type music and the whole scrounge for weapons stuff. I just couldn't stand the stereotypical chars up to ep 3 though. Whiny or strong wise females just isn't for me. The otaku I enjoyed because he reminded of a char from that book World War Z.

Watching Giant Killling right now too. After like episode 2 I felt so psyched to go out and train even though I don't play any sports anymore. I like the soundtrack to it. :)

Just saw Cat Shit One. OMFG. A recon team set in the middle east where the baddies are Camels and the americans are USAgi (rabbits). Bonta-kun cuteness with tactical action. So far it's a win. I think episodes will come out on a monthly basis. :(

Index season 2 started without me knowing it, the first episode totally caught me by surprise.
Instead of a "new" chapter, it was a missing story from one of the past novels that wasn't animated, and chronology wise it's supposed to happen after episode 18 of the first season.
Bakuman is advancing at a super slow pace, with 24 chapters to work on this probably means that the series is going to end before the truly interesting part begins (the later volumes). Hardcore fans are whining that the series is focusing to much in the rabu rabu.... They obviously just don't remember but pretty much that's just how things get started after all.

The world only God knows started as well... It seems that they are tweaking a little the characterization of the main cast.... Keima comes out as a more "dashing" guy if you just focus on his looks and has "less moments" when he enters in game induced SD delusion about the real world. The demon girl (who's name I never cared to romanize) comes out as a much more moe girl and a much less clumsy borderline pathetic ending up as just a simple regular dojikko girl... Those few changes to "diminish" the characters innate faults and silly comedy almost totally killed the show for me, and it looks that everything is going to be kept as it is

All of these 3 series are pretty much sticking to their original works as much as possible when it comes to storyline.

Roundup time? Hmm...

MM! is nothing, guy is trying to cure himself of masochism, girl tries to cure him by beating it out of him. Half-assed irony ensues. Also, a trap.
Panty and Stocking is ridiculous, it's like Powerpuff Girls with jokes about sex and scat. Still, it's animated well, so it may end up being a guilty pleasure.
I really like Bakuman (and not just because it's directed by the same guy that did Nodame and Kimikiss), the characters aren't heavily typecasted so it's actually interesting to learn about them.
