I've been advised not to drink for the next 3 days by the oral surgeon.
I've read your blog before, I personally think you're a pretty damned good writer. What feedback could I possibly give you?

That must be the drugs talking! Made my day though
Now go kill people on PS3, that might take the edge off the pain...

I can barely focus long enough to take my pills, let alone play video games. I feel kinda bad, I told Wind I'd be on all week. My face however, looks like Batman from the animated series now. I used to wonder what I'd look like with a Caucasian's jawline, now I know, and I want my Asian one back.

I 2nd Foxhole (whether what he said was under the influence of painkillers or not). Your blog entries are well-written.
After work, I went to talk to a adviser at a college here to see if my meager credits would transfer over. They do, but I have to wait a year from when I first got my FL license to get in state tuition fees. Seeing how I'll be a little under a month off from the start of the fall semester, I hope they'll let me slide. Paying 3x the in-state tuition is not one of my life goals. And being a more 'mature' student doesn't bother me. I look younger than the people enrolled.
Still haven't been to Disney World yet. I'll have to soon before the flock of tourists come for the summer. Also, I'm a bit intrigued at the Harry Potter 'world' they will be opening @ Universal. The girls are MUCH prettier here than where I'm from. A change of scenery has done me some good.

Shin Y - so what are you gonna study in college?
Sorry to hear you're having such a rough time with the procedure/recovery - I had my wisdom teeth removed years ago and didn't really have any trouble (since I opted for local anesthesia I could feel them routing around in there - the surgeon kept showing me the teeth that he pulled out; it was kinda neat). I do remember that I actually did use some of the pain medication after a day or so but I only needed it for a couple days - hopefully the pain will fade quickly for you as well.
No worries, man - you just focus on your recoveryFoxhole wrote:I can barely focus long enough to take my pills, let alone play video games. I feel kinda bad, I told Wind I'd be on all week.

Re: How was your day?
Well, I had that one tooth that was growing at a 90 degree angle, so I had to be put under for that, since they needed to take a bit of my jaw with it. The problem is that I'm having them taken out post 25, and at that age they're fully grown instead of partially grown which makes it a bitch. But I've not suffered any permanent damage so I'm happy. Albiet in a lot of pain.Apathy Wind wrote:Shin Y - so what are you gonna study in college?

AW: Information Technology. I've been taking classes whenever I could afford to for the last few years. Those coding classes that are peppered throughout my degree tree makes my brain flop around like a flounder out of water.

*HUGS* IT is pretty big nowadays... well IT and healthcare are the only industries that seem to be indestructible all through the recession.

There's no way to get ahead nowadays unless you know somebody that knows somebody. Or a winner of the Pick 46 genetic lottery. Alas, I wasn't born into a family where my destiny was to carry on their banking tradition. So education it is.
Saints won the Super Bowl. Happy at the fact that the Who Dats did it.

My day has been fun, it's my 2nd and last day off today.
One of the reasons why I have rarely visited this place even more is coz I've yet to get interwebs on the place that I'm staying when I'm in work mode.

Someone got the sack and I got stuck with their work and now I'm doing overtime because of that work. I was also very interested in meeting up with an interstate friend today after work too but that is out of the question now. And I got another 8 hour shift in the next two hours ... catch you guys 5am hahahah

Re: How was your day?
I'm off today for some sort of holiday and have another holiday on Monday (hello, four day weekend). In a week or so I have to go to NYC for four days for work - one day of which is just for travel (and should therefore be easy - blizzards, crazy airport security, and shoe/underwear bombers aside). Come March I have to use or lose a bunch of vacation so I'll be taking three consecutive weeks off (and yet still have roughly 300 hours of vacation still in the bank).
Oro - how's your recovery coming? Haven't heard from you in a while...

Re: How was your day?
I'm starting to heal up a bit, my face is mostly back to normal though my right side is just mildly swollen. My hair cut before Chinese New Years kinda went sour. The barber cut it short, even though I asked for long in the front, short in the back, reverse mullet please. Either way, I look clean cut and presentable, girls love it, but I can't stand with how it just doesn't mesh well with my personality.
Right before my surgery, I managed to finally get a date with this girl I've been chasing for a few months, everything was going well, she even asked me out for a second time, but then canceled and became oddly frigid. Just when I finally thought I managed to salvage relations with her, it seems I've gone and pissed her off. On the other hand, I got promoted, it's a lot of extra work, for only a bit more money, but at this point I'm willing to take extra responsibilities just for the title on my resume, but we're open 24/7 for the entire span of the Olympics and I'm having to work ungodly hours. I'm exhausted, confused, irritated, still in pain and sleeping poorly.

Re: How was your day?
I am enjoying my nursing class very much - very interested in working at ICU ('coz all the other nurses told me that since patients cannot talk back at you, it is the best place to be, haw haw not really for me) at the moment.
I am hoping that I can get an offer from Cabrini Malvern after I am done with the course 'coz they have an year long program specifically designed for newly graduated nurses to boost their confidentiality.
I will be attending my citizenship ceremony in March and heaps of people from my sweetie's side want to come up. I love to see them all because they are my family as well but the only downside is that the ceremony will be on Tuesday night so... yaaar... no big party for me <_<;
Happy Chinese New Year and Valentines Day, everybody!
