Got any geeky moments to share?
I still occasionally pick up a red apple at the supermarket and say...

Geeky moment to share:
Constantly finding ways to frame real life issues in KOF metaphors, e.g. in reference to having something shitty done to you I'd say "That's nearly as bad as getting Saving Shifted Jump D Kick Super by Gato".
Also pretty geeky:
Staying up till 9 in the fnarking morning finishing up an AI project. Can't get much geekier than that.

I thought it would be spending $600 on plane tickets to go to an anime con halfway across the country just to listen to your favourite vocal artiste and have Shinichiro Watanabe tell you "Nihongo jouzu desu ne"Perfect Stranger wrote:Geeky moment to share:

For me, every time I read an XKCD comic (http://www.xkcd.com) and laugh my ass off I feel like the biggest geek in the world.

I have more of a geeky life interspersed with normal moments. I don't know how many times I've broken into the SotN opening dialogue. I have referred to my World of Warcraft playing friend's girlfriend as his "epic mount". (Did I mention I am also a terrible person?) I have had a conversatoin about the life of Mermen and the merits of murdering them; this conversation went on for over an hour.
As I was writing this, my brother came over and needed to borrow some ATX power cords. I found 3 that were plugged into the wall, but not plugged into anything on the other end. Also, he brought me an Xbox controller (mine died for no good reason). He didn't bring a dongle (the detatchable end that plugs into the console), which was okay, because I have 3, which if you were counting, is two more than the number of controllers I own.
Then there are the times after playing MGS a whole lot that I evaluate situations in the way I could sneak through them. Or when my friends and I were playing Crackdown, we would see high up places and judge whether or not we could get the agility orb. I could go on, but you get the idea.
