I agree with 3-5-2 more than 4-4-2 here.
Put Gerrard as the outermost right midfielder and let him drift along the side, supporting Beckham, he's the one with the lungs... Though I doubt he'll be able to take it.
Poor Saudis, after the French complained it was too dry, the Saudis get owned when things get slightly wetter. Sad stuff.
Tipping a draw for Argentina Holland, make it a good 4-4 or something

YEA USA is LOSING!!!!
GO GHANA!!!
and good luck aussies!
Screw Brazil and their awful gameplay... pray Japan doesnt get hammered!
And yes Mexico showed its TRUE suckyness and inability to do something when it counts... BUT Argentina is a very familiar opponent... so its not that bad a matchup.
...ok it is. screw you all.

You really think Japan played better than Brazil during the first half? Even with at least 5 or 6 great saves by the Japanese goalie? Did we watch the same game?!? Brazil could easily have scored at least twice before Japan scored, if their goalie wasn't that good. There was one shot by Ronaldo that he saved with the tips of his fingers.denieru wrote:Hell no... Japan just doesnt have the stamina to finish a game. The 1st half was greatly played by Japan.
Brazil played well today. WAY better than the first two matches. Go Cicinho, Robinho, Juninho, Gilberto!

yep we saw a different game then...
Game aside, its japan vs freaking Brazil... to be able to hold Brazil for the 1st half was amazing... and those 6 saves were clear shots, that was aLL the goalkeeper's work... JApan took advantage and scored in 2 shots, what does that tell you? if japan had the power to finixh a game, a different score would be at the final whistle.
And then you say OH brazil played much better... of course if the opponent isn't able to match you in power and stamina you are gonna look good.
Brazil should've been able to do this with any team... but it didnt... a little oposition... and Brazil goes to mediocre mode.

Well, fine then. Whatever you say... I have a largely different opinion so we'll have to agree to disagree. I just want you to rememebr that the team that played today was largely different from the team that played the first two matches, with a lot of new blood injected (players that were eager to show their best, unlike the "oldies", like Cafu and Roberto Carlos, who were "just playing another World Cup game"). So don't generalize saying that 'Brazil sucks and will always play mediocre cause they're a bunch of assholes', and stuff like that. That's all.
