Re: MP3 Players
I'm thinking of getting a PSP soon ("Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops" convinced me), in the ass of the world PSP are cheaper than iPods and i dun have problems with hanging around with gear (i haven't lost my Zire 72 after 3 years). the only thing that bothers me is that i don't know if thw PSP is a capable player or not.Eczema wrote:My PSP is a bit too big and expensive to haul with me everywhere for just mp3 usage. I also heard that mp3 players would become obsolete soon with the advent of mobile phones with mp3 capabilities.
And mp3 Phones are WAY too expensive =(

The new Nokia 3260 with a kick ass sound is plainly TEH SEX. Nice memory capabilities (2G's) and really friendly interface. I highly reccomend that.
As for me, I had to sell mine to pay the god damn visa... but I'll get it back soon. (now using the Creative MP3 player of my gf, kinda screwy due of the ubber sensitive touch pad, but it's still okay if you don't mind that).
The Creative has 5G's of memory, btw, loaded 1300 of my MP3 on it.

I also got a new phone - the Nokia N81. The N81 comes in either an 8GB internal memory model, or one with an expandable memory MicroSD slot. I chose the latter and it came with a free 2GB stick. As a music player, it is quite good. Smaller than standard iPods, good screen. Has a Navi Wheel which is kinda like the iPod's scrolling thing but I find it's not as responsive as I would have liked it to be. Has shuffle, repeat, equalizer and all that stuff. It is easy to put your songs into it - just copy and paste into the music folder. You can make your own playlists on the phone and it keeps track of which tracks you play the most. I must say that the shuffle mode sucks. It is not rare to have repeats when on shuffle mode, for example a song will play, then it will come up again in 2-3 songs. Once, the same song replayed immediately after itself out of 150 other possible songs! But apart from that it is a good MP3 player. Don't buy the phone just for the music capabilities tho, obviously.
