Sentai Rangers quest [ KOF ALL STAR ]

the flashing red or blue screen will signify who you will face first.

Purple element has the leverage. With a little luck, a maxed out Kyo96 can do this all by himself

Lower Difficulty

If you have a purple element such as level 90 Kyo96 with max cores, that will be fine for auto mode. He’ll destroy them.

Lunatic level

You’ll need about 16k and a bit of luck for auto mode. You do need to complete this level if you want be able to collect enough souls to complete the festival. You need 200. You may be able to get them somewhere else though (such as the secret shop)… Here are some tips:

Stage 1

You will be attacked by generic rangers, with one leader type, who is larger than the others. Use your special moves here, you’ll recharge those in no time.

Gold thief

Randomly, a little person will appear. Defeat it to get a double reward bonus!

Then, after two to three waves, the Sentai Rangers will appear.

Ralf will attack, which you can block. Hit him after the TWO explosions.
Clark is more dangerous because after he finishes his string of attacks he will do his mount tackle, which will grab you regardless of what you are doing, unless it is your super. Stand at the range outside his tackle (one third of the screen) and then punish him.

Don’t ask… Just super

When you have done enough damage, they will disappear and go for the Cross Changer, where they will do a routine of poses.  This is when you need to hit them.  Here we have two problems.

  1. If you don’t inflict enough damage, they will hit you with their super move!
  2. You can only hit one of them!  The one who comes in to help is the one to hit.  They will flash yellow if you hit the correct one. Normally the cpu will face the right way if you let it. In fact, the vulnerable one will have Super Armour written above their head!

This best way to stop their super move is to hit them with your own super!

They share life energy so it doesn’t matter who you hit, so you may want to stand in the middle or push them together from the side.

If you hit them, they will be stunned. If you don’t have a super ready, mash the button!

If they suceed to finish their pose routine, they will hit you with the Galactica Electron, which is unblockable, although you can call in striker or tag out (only worked once for me though).

Stage 2

After a few attacks they will hop away and bring out a laser cannon. Walk up or down out of its path. Be aware that the path is a bit wider than it appears. As the laser finishes, they will do a little pose, run in to punish them!

Again they will go for the Cross Changer/ Galactica Electron when you have done enough damage. Make sure you have saved your super.

Stage 3

When you get them to 4 bars of energy they will attack you simultaneously. This is horrible. Try to roll behind them and use an attack that keeps you at a distance. grabs will do damage but they wont go through the “grabbed” animation and likely hit you straight after. Keep an eye out for laser cannons and if they hit you, it is possible to press roll and UP to escape. Feel free to use your super #2, if available. Good luck!

The Element Bosses [ KOF ALL STAR ]

Each week, KOF ALL STAR gives you an element boss to fight, on rotation.

Bosses

  • RED Arms Black
  • GREEN Alexandrite
  • YELLOW Steely Puncher
  • PURPLE Lucia Pierna
  • BLUE Mighty Most

If you check the battle tab > event quest you’ll find them there. The rewards are souls, different per difficulty and different every week. If you complete one match of easy, the next difficulty will unlock, and so on. The lower difficulties will give you character souls while the hardest difficulty will give you element souls that you can use for any character of that Element, making this boss a valuable resource, as long as you can defeat them. Here are some tips.

Arms Black

You’ll need blue. Appearing at the start of the game, many found it tough unless they were lucky enough to get Kyo95 or another 5 star blue element. Based on the heavy puncher boss types, try to roll as soon as you see the floor turn red.

Alexandrite

Use your red element for the leverage. Notice the red strip on the floor and walk out or roll behind him. At one point he will go for a power up and his shards will revolve around him. That’s the time to smash him as quickly as possible, if you get enough hits here he will be stunned, allowing you to finish him off.

Steely Puncher

You’ll need green. If you’re not good at rolling and don’t have a level to match her, she’s actually hard. She’ll drop punches from the sky, thump you in the stomach, and grab you for big damage.

At the start she often rolls so don’t throw out your super immediately. You’ll see a little flash on her body before she does any of her attack moves so keep an eye on her. She also likes to run away.

The stun window is actually when she grabs you by the head. Here you can rapidly press the button and, if you break out, she’ll be dizzy.

Lucia Pierna

You’ll need Yellow. Easier than Steely, she’s based on the ankle knife bosses, and has similar attacks . Watch for her flash, she’s about to teleport behind you and come down with a kick. She has a multi hit kick that you don’t want to be on the receiving end of, and near KO she’ll do some more explosive moves. With a level 74 Yellow Element (with cores), you can leave the CPU on Auto to deal with her.

Mighty Most

Coming soon, but you’ll need purple.

If a boss is supplying the color for your main, then you need to hit it hard every day 3 times to get those souls, only from Lunatic Level. It even might supply the soul dust directly.

For example Alexandrite hard difficulty rewards you with 97 Robert souls. Expert level difficulty reward is colour souls of a particular colour so you can use it for any of your matching color fighter. Expert difficulty is limited to 3 a day.  Some characters you can ONLY get soul dust from these events, so don’t miss them- but don’t panic, remember it’s not the only way to limit break, and this boss will return in four weeks…

  • Types

  • Best Cards

Types

Your character can increase their strength through their levels but you can also increase their stats using cards.

The best and rarest cards are 5 star. They will give you the most CP to boost your character.

There are 3 types of cards

  • Set
  • Option
  • Action

Yellow Set cards work best together as a set of three, and give you a bonus. Sets are made of the sword, seed and mirror, representing the sacred treasures.

Green Option cards have a special skill but also can work in a set. You can only have two.  The third box with a plus sign is UNUSED.

Action cards unlock the ultimate move for your character.

Skills

Each card has a skill. This is very important.

You can level up your card by using rewards from the card quests.

However, many players overlook the fact you can upgrade the skill.

For example: the Kula card starts with a base attack of 2.3%.

If you level the card up normally, it will raise level and the attack will stay the same.

If you use the special cards to raise the skill up chance to 100% then the attack rises to 2.4%

Every time you raise the skill, the probability lowers. So it’s very hard to raise a card over level 7. After  this point it all depends on luck!  However you can get 100% level up using a duplicate card or possibly a 3 star card that has been evolved and skill maxed.

Bear in mind that if you want to level up skills then pay attention to how much its worth, you may not need to level it to the max to get the 100% probability!

Here are the conversion rates

CP Strategy

If you want CP, a card with high skills will add more CP to the character, so when you’re in a rush to get more power, raise the card first to max, worry about skills afterwards.  As soon as you have time, raise the skill level!  Raise and evolve a 3 star set card from your duplicates to use as material for your set, option or even your special cards!

Note : you can max out your card first and then try to raise skills, it’s just not efficient, but for certain quests you need that CP boost first…

Have a look at Patta’s Kyo 96. With 3 Kula cards he now has a CP level of nearly 17k. This is what makes the difference between every other Kyo96!

Card Limit

You can only store 300 cards.  So use them!!!

Best Cards

The Kula Card set gives you a damage boost of 14% after landing a critical.  If you were lucky to get the Tekken girls set and/or the TekkenxKOF card, those were awesome too.

The Maxima and Kula option cards reduce the cooldown of moves, therefore you can do your specials more often… therefore the opponent will get smashed up…
