FYI - if you have Amazon Prime, Amazon (US) is now offering release-date delivery for KOFXIII.

Great news, except I switched my preorder to Gamestop's in-store pickup yesterday because Amazon's 1-day shipping was going to take a week due to Thanksgiving. brb, kicking myself in the balls

Well technically you can get RDD without Prime, but it's free for Prime members lol.

All about Network Mode...

http://game.snkplaymore.co.jp/official/ ... 011/11/10/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Translation:

SNKP made their weekly blog update. This week, it's about the network but there's not much worthwhile info except that you can go frame by frame in replay. Hopefully it's frame-by-frame in 60fps. Interestingly, there's no mention of a slow-motion option in the blog, but the sample video shows it. Hopefully the blog's staff didn't mistake the two terms (frame-by-frame and slow motion).

Also, they're out of things to talk about and they're wondering what to write about in the next update. Here's a quick summary.

-Network mode roughly has two options, "Ranked Match" and "Player Match". Ranking Match allows you to play with a determined set of rules and your winning results will reflect on your ranking. Player Match on the other hand has no effect on ranking but lets you customize the rules up to a certain level.

-You can search for opponents by "Quick Matching" or "Customized Matching". You can set various search options when using Customized Matching. Like for instance, you can filter network speed by four levels/bars. The search options are somewhat different between Ranked and Custom matches. Also, you can set a region filter as well as a network speed filter when you're hosting.

-As a network-mode-only feature, you can save replays. You can also upload replays, but only in Ranked Match and if you're in the monthly 100s.

-Your saved replays can be viewed from the Replay Mode in the main menu. You can also download replays from the rankings and use them for studying. You can display/hide the meters, attack data, command data, jump through rounds, pause, and go frame-by-frame.

The screenshots reads as follows:

First screenshot: Menu reads- Ranked Match, Player Match, Friends Match, Rankings
Second screenshot: Player match seach options- Round Time, Voice Chat, Player Level (selected option reads 'for advanced players'), connection speed (selected option reads 'Lv4 only')

First of a series Made by Atlus... (may look elementary, but may do good on newcomers)

Gamestop is ass this time around. I just changed my order to Amazon since they have release date delivery and Gamestop doesn't. Amazon charges way less for shipping anyway.
For the Amazon Prime thing is says "free 2 day shipping", not that I wanna get Prime anyway.

Not much we can do about Network mode but cross our fingers. It all boils down to how the online gameplay runs or those modes will be worth nothing. I have a good feeling about it though.

Since we're on the subject
Me: Figures that Amazon would offer RDD for KOFXIII the day AFTER I switched my preorder to Gamestop. -_-
Friend: So, I updated my order to the RDD, and the shipping cost went from ten dollars to one. Also, it warns me that my order has been "delayed", but it actually moved the delivery date back a week to the 22nd. Weird.
Me: I'm actually thinking about whether I should switch my order back to Amazon now, but cancelling my Gamestop order involves calling the store and talking to a human. Hmmm
Friend: Not a human, a Gamestop employee.
Me: Oh right, my bad

Just be glad you have time to make changes now. I usually go to Gamestop for the pre-order bonuses and release day shipping, but they treat KOF like it's not all that important.

Gamestop workers really don't know what the hell they are doing half the time. At least I can trust Amazon.

Speaking of release dates, I have heard of some preorder sites that send the game like almost a week or so earlier (one of my friends got Disgaea 4 for about 8 days prior to release date). I don't want to be the guy that watches in horror how someone else got their copy a week earlier (that would be roughly 10 days from now on).

..... I'm still not to the point of having withdrawal symptoms yet.
Was that Double Dragon HD? What happened?

In order to give the illusion of better service, some stores pack and send their games earlier than release date to customers, that's a pretty clever plan to keep customers loyal to said store.

Speaking of tutorials, I noticed that someone did this :
