before the influx of questions about what's happening at MCM start piling in, please wait for the announcement on the main page, as we're still sorting a few things out... such as very, VERY, EXTREMELY special guests.

Re: The King of Fighters XIII/KOF-i News Thread
I'm hearing rumblings of a release delay for North America, according to this thread:
http://www.atlus.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9567" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Gamestop seems to have pushed out their release date. Amazon is still showing Oct 25th.

Yeah, all we have are the word of one guy who allegedly works for Gamestop and another guy who called his Gamestop, so no reason to jump to conclusions just yet.

If it changed then people would most likely get e-mails about it if they pre-ordered. I don't see any change in the date online or e-mail or anything, just those 2 random people saying they heard the date changed.

Likewise, just checked my emails (nothing). Plus I pre-ordered via GameStop. Hope we'll find out something soon.
It feels kinda uneasy reading about it on the web, and without confirmation. Feels like a press conference gone horribly wrong.

Re: The King of Fighters XIII/KOF-i News Thread
Delays on the release date are usually known during early production phase. For a delay to be known "now", a month away from the release is extremely suspicious (supposedly, at this point the game is already "made" and it's going to be sent to the stores for it to arrive early (that's sometimes games get leaked 2 weeks earlier or something))..... But if a delay actually happens then it probably has nothing to do with the production phase, instead is something that involves problems with the packaging of the game (the creation of the copies), or even something with the preordering or post game issues (as in, problems with compatibility with the DLC) or a crazy stupid bug that they didn't saw before and would be embarrassing to deliver.Max wrote:Anyway, I've been hearing rumours about Mukai and Magaki finding their way into the disk.
Translation? The chance of them adding content in 3 weeks are for about as good as an extraterrestial spaceship landing on the top my head. They probably have trouble meeting copies or getting the products to the suppliers or what not.

GS's site still displays 10/25 regarding the release date. 1 month, something must be going on.

Re: The King of Fighters XIII/KOF-i News Thread
please. unless we're getting billy herrington and friends, we really don't need the addition of more sausages. i'd take even momoko above those two, and god knows i don't like momoko. but no more rumors, for the love of god, let's just get our game already so we can kick some ass without comeback mechanics.Max wrote:Anyway, I've been hearing rumours about Mukai and Magaki finding their way into the disk. Well, the more the merrier, but really, who wants to see this in HD?

Re: The King of Fighters XIII/KOF-i News Thread
Because I can't say anything else, I would like to point out that the Eng dub being a requirement by Sony is absolutely false, as many other games exist without dub, such as the Yakuza series.

Re: The King of Fighters XIII/KOF-i News Thread
well, i hope they speak soon, because people who tend to have actual legitimate reason to cancel a preorder for this situation tend to be people who are obligated to move out somewhere--like say, what if someone had to get deployed to iraq or somewhere else and october was the only time they could get the game while still in the states...?!
i say that, because i had a similar situation

Re: The King of Fighters XIII/KOF-i News Thread
I believe in the delay simply because of SNK's ability to shoot itself in the foot repeatedly to see if it feels pain.

Re: The King of Fighters XIII/KOF-i News Thread
The delay is at Gamefly, however you can't trust that it means the delay is everywhere. Maybe it's just some places are having a delayed shipment and others aren't. That's not something new because I know Toys R Us and a few other stores usually gets some games later than the actual release date.
GS still says the original Oct. date and so does Amazon.
