Isn't it strange that the commands for the DM's of Eiji and Duck King weren't simplified?

Also, did anyone noticed that Oswald's LDM motion was changed?

Hmm... IMO the life bars might look plain.. but i kinda like the fact that it has more life than 2k3's...

I wonder who Kula is fighting on the first shot...

news seems pretty slow here so,
from beezlebubble of neo-geo.com,
kof xi loke test no.2 report (sunday):

- last boss is a mizuchi looking guy who seems to be part alien and neodio as well. he floats above the ground ala mizuchi iirc and seems to be dressed in a similar manner with similar marks on his upper body. his eyes are just blue ovals though and he looks crazy with his hair back ala sonic or something. he has a crazy twisted body stance/style despite being really tall. he's crazy strong and uses a pink/white energy. his bg is like the 97 orochi one though at night and with two giant demon thing statues. he can turn transparent, do an arm teleport attack ala the mummy in darkstalkers and when he attacks with limbs they go rubbery and he sorta flails them. cool points = 7/10

- 2nd last boss is the one iggy mentioned. a very thin youngish looking chinese girl sorta dressed in a traditional chinese suit (the ones children wear with shorts not long pants) and carries a staff. her movement and stance/poses look cool and when you beat her before you go onto the last boss theres a short cutscene and the close up of her face makes her look like something out of the ring or a zombie. cool points = 8.5/10 (card man is like 9.5/10)

- ash has a new j.C and s.C. both arms back like a hawk diving or soemthing. looks pretty cool. ground one is similar sort of thing.

- alley is a stage i didnt see last time. its in front of the pao pao and is a hood type area at night with the spectators lurking in the shadows in the background.

- ugh the sprites really irk me. i just cant get over how low detail they are. the faces are all going the way of malin seemingly made up of only a few pixels with big eyes and mouths... i swear they look better in 2k3. which sucks coz otherwise aesthetically speaking its a really nice package. the interface and win screens etc are all really slick with the ingame after win screens seemingly done buy falcoon or the guy who just started doing art recently (okuda?) hard to tell but i like the look.

- i still dont like the feel of it. 2k3 feels better imo.

- eiji has a new face and seems chunkier. all energy effects are new and he has a new move that seems to have ripped zantetsu command throw (cloak grab) and hanzos air super off.. he cloak grabs you on the ground then does the hanzo split into 2 air beat down move... ninja heritage or just laziness?

- cool lens flair effect on hawaii (??) stage.

- momoko has dredds... looks about 12 years old.. is dressed like richard from ff or eddie gordo sort of.. indeed seems to be doing capoeira.. very small.

- judgement seems to be on momentum, damage done and combos (which give you lots of bar).

-maxima has a new s.D which is an awkward high kick.

-sie's stance has changed. his face is also rerdrawn. his fb is as 2k2 but his 99 dash punch is qcf or hcf. looks like hes lost his three part forward moving attack. hes got some funky color variations and is nice to play.

2k3 always felt VERY bad in my opinion. MOST of the people here that have any clue about KoF think the same so if KoFXI's gonna be as bad and the gameplay remains similar without any major highlights I can foresee that it's not gonna get played in Germany as well as 2k3 wasn't accepted either.

These are bad news but OF COURSE it's still far to early to judge in any way.

Everyone IS complaining about 2k3 huh...

I for one was happily taking in all garbage like a tin. It's true, I don't game enough nor critique that meticulously.

Look forward to it first, Blast. We will slam it together later if needed.

Do I even need to say it?

Early. Beta. Not. Final.

Things WILL change before the final version. I'm pretty sure that after SvC and 2K3, SNKP is hell-bent against releasing a half-baked game into the market again. Heck, just looking at the video footage of NGBC, you can see how the game flows a lot better now as opposed to when the first footage came out almost a year ago.

Wha-!?... I thought that girl was the boss!?... :x That kinda makes me sad. But bleh...

Sprites having Malin face ugliness is a bad sign.... hope this gets a remedy. And don't tell me Momoko is going to be smaller than Malin!.. O_o'

Lazyness? I was expecting it... and would be dissapointed if they didnt hint more on the heritage thing.

Hope there's another test in this month while im in japan...

Still not pleased at all with judgment, but at least now we have a bit more concrete details on how it works. I wonder how abusable it'll be.

I just hope that this game will be SEVEN HUNDERED ONE+ times better than 2003. ;)
