Question about HD activation in combos.
I was practicing a combo and I noticed when I activate HD instead of sliding forward my char would do standing C instead. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this and/or know why this is happening.

Did you change any of the button settings? HD goes into effect when two consecutive buttons are pressed.
I believe

+

as default are what should be working.

if you press BC your character should go into HD mode and dash forward
however if you press any direction or button you will cancel the dash
also there are a few ways to cancel the dash
for example
if you crouch and press BC you will activate HD but for some characters a crouch C will come out eg: Clark, allowing you to cancel into other moves. Experiment! There is option select at play here,

you are totally right, when activating HD from a normal move, if you activate it during the early frames of the normal move the character will slide forward, if you activate in the late frames then no slide and either a B or a C will come out.
