I'm happy to report, talks are in progress.
As for the EU thing, you'd be surprised how many visitors to ON are actually American.
I'm just getting a few things sorted and then we should have a nice post on front page.

Re: KOF XIII General Discussion/Rant Thread
KoF at EVO had the biggest turnout of watchers at nearly 100k. WE IN THERE.
Guess I better start watching more international streams; I thought Bala had the tournament locked up.

I hope Kei Yamamoto or the SNKP higher-ups got to see this. KOF deserves more than just being on life support!

Man, I am still sad about Bala losing against MadKOF, I watched that final twice and I still cry when I see Reynald losing at the LB on his fight with MadKOF
If Reynald could win that BO3... oh I am still so damn sad T_T
PD: The EVO was wonderful, really incredible to see so many people cheering for KOF Players and watching the KOF Matches
I can only say the same thing I say on StarCraft2 while watching at major tournaments... "It's just the Koreans, they are back" T_T

Re: KOF XIII General Discussion/Rant Thread
i said it before and i'll say it again, evo kofxiii had the potential to have a new champion, and it wasn't going to be just a simple money drive for bala--mad kof's twitter had actually added me earlier in the year and that's how i found out about him and saw how excellent his duolon was and was thinking "oh man, this guy should go to evo if we have kof because his duolon is sick"
it was heartwrenching to see bala struggle so much, but nevertheless, if we have kof next year (we just have to, now!), bala will be trying to run that back with his new understanding of the matchups, and perhaps, even more people will have leveled up seriously by then!
i'm still recoiling from the excitement of the entire top 8, it was soooo good, it dwarved pretty much every other game out there in hype levels, hands down, and nearly everyone agrees from the looks of it
it's too bad some people are blaming kof running "an hour and a half over schedule", but, in kof's defense, it was preempted by other things as well so it started late to begin with

Yeah, regardless of Bala losing against MadKOF, the matchs were incredibly good, from the Saturady, because on Friday it was one sided, most people crushing other players the entire journey and stream finished 2 hours before it should be ended
About the Finals getting late, I don't care about it, it worth it anyways, and I hope we can watch another KOF Finals on EVO 2013!

I guess I'm in the minority when I say I'm glad MadKoF won. The Mexicans screaming homophobic remarks in the background made me sick.

Bala should have said something, he was listening, but perhaps he didn't have time.

Re: KOF XIII General Discussion/Rant Thread
"culero" among other things
it mattered not to me whether bala or madkof or somebody else won, i just wanted there to be high level competition with close matches, not just bala steamrolling everyone, because everyone would complain that kof tourneys were just "donate to bala" tourneys and people would just go "ehh, bala will win this obviously, not worth watching because we know the ending already"
this time, the ending was so unsure, and it kept everyone on the edge of their seats, and for the first time, people were cheering bala to win even if he's won so many majors before
it's very rare that an entire top 8 as a whole is all around so exciting, so kofxiii just happened to be one of those anomalies considering the pace of the game compared to others at evo
if evo holds kofxiii next year, it should be just as exciting if not moreso, and hopefully more leveled up players even in the pools
and less shirt monsters

You know Gun, at that point, I don't think he even noticed. His glare could have cooled that PS3 they were playing on.Gunsmith wrote:Bala should have said something, he was listening, but perhaps he didn't have time.

About Bala winning all tournaments, you are right, it shouldn't be fun, but man, I prefer Raynald or any other NON-Korean player winning.
I am also a fan and player of StarCraft 2 and believe me, It's like Koreans > Rest of World, and that is worse at some point...

Re: KOF XIII General Discussion/Rant Thread
I was just reminded of one thing - that T-shirt barrier that CafeID used, supposedly to counter Mexican 'empty-button' tactics. I don't know what that's referring to, but I assume it's something along the lines of pressing unmapped buttons to fool opponents into thinking they were about to do something?

Re: KOF XIII General Discussion/Rant Thread
yes.
Mad_KOF couldn't even see Bala's hands, so there was no physical distraction.
