Final version Discarded moves (video)

One of the most played entries for me, with it's very own sense of speed, priority and movement it certainly doesn't play like any other entry in the series and it can be amazingly fun once you get really good at it and can overshadow the cheese (95 is also in this wagon though).

Now, what people really didn't is that this game had a bunch unused move stored within it's rom memory... Back in the day when emulation was popular (?) and people started to worry about how to make the most of the game bios; quickly it became obvious that most games had their share of good things to look at, being 96 one of the best example for this.

Many of you might recognize most of the moves from 97 or post following KoFs, but some of the moves are wilder or have totally different looks over in this little un used side. Please note that this video is not "definitive", probably from the fact that this game is a hack, there are still some moves that weren't included on it (surely it's because some of the moves where either too much of a pain to work on, or simply they where too buggy to be shown in action).

From the top of my head, some missing moves include Ryo Sakazaki's command throw + ground pursuit, Benumaru Corridor's follow up ground kick (this one was included in 02um though!).... And I don't know! har har. I remember that Kao Megura did a FAQ back in the day with these things and received a bunch of help from different sources (even from those mentally ill!).

Vice's unblockable Heaven's Gate must get some love one day. And Iori's un used DM gives a new whole feeling to that Kyo vs Iori Flame clash in the op sequence.

This rocks so much. Thank you for posting it.

Why were this many moves left unused?

For what I remember (and from what it was on their SNK anniversary page) SNK simply ran out of time to test things and had to round up the package with less things that what they originally planned to add (considering the release date of the game (later October I think), that becomes understandable). Actually I have seen a hacked 96' ROM with the unlocked moves and to be honest things do behave oddly when you use them.
