Yeah, apparantly Japs have their own slangs and interjections too, so not everything is not only translatable into English by will, certain things they say are grammatically incorrect, or is deemed 'usable' in localised areas.

However, a 'sonomama shine' will turn you into Grade B pwnage anywhere you are...

sorry in advance to the thread but..

'japs' is a racist term (originally used by american troops in ww2), please don't use that again. =)

What is "You can't see me!" in Japanese?

Just "Mienai" will do.

Playing the devil's advocate...

It is my opinion that what you're looking for is probably closer to "ore no sugata ga mienain darou ga~!" (with added over the top machoism added in for effect XD)

Mienai by itself, while meaning cannot be seen, when used without any qualifiers, is normally closer to "I can't see!"

Not sure how to differentiate between the two, but you can try these:

(Boku ga) suki na no ka?
Ore ni horechatta no ka? (might be a little too casual)

でも、僕は愛など全くだめなんだから。。。

Does the term "harakiri" actually mean "circumcision"?

Uhm... not as far as I know. Hara = stomach and kiri = cut, so harakiri = stomach cut. Of course cutting the stomach open is only barely half of the ritual, but it's definitely not a circumcision (unless that's some weird slang or something).

Harakiri is rude, vulgar slang for the suicide that ye fabled Samurai always undertake whenever they fail at something. Anything.

Proper term is seppuku

Hey... Sorry about this kinda troublesome request...

I'd like the complete transript of whatever Sephiroth and Cloud said to each other in Advent Children, could someone please give me a hand? The sub file's translation's definitely sketchy and I'd like a better grasp on their (IMMORTAL!!!) conversation...

They didn't say THAT much to each other, so... please? :P

I'd like a Japanese dialogue and it's translation, many thanks in advance!

Sorry to disappoint...

2 things :

1. This thread was initially created for brief, quick answers to things that would take up less than 5 minutes of the translator's times. Translating a chunk of dialogue definitely takes more than that. You should create a separate thread in this Nihongo forum asking for a translation.

2. I don't really have the time to do that right now, so good luck asking some of the other Nipponese-fluent people here to do that :P

I can't do it either, mainly because I don't have the movie any more :P

Sorry.
