I'll make a guess here...
"You make my heart barren! Begone!"
The first part is more along the lines of "When I think of you, my heart becomes barren," but I made it a bit more concise. The last sentence should have been "Kiete inakunare," I think, especially if he's talking about a human...but anyhow it literally translates to something like "Disappear from existence!"

Your guess is pretty accurate, it's Testament's win-quote in GGXXR against Sol: "When I think about you my heart drys up, get lost!". though I took the line and translation straight from a faq. I then tried to check up on the translation myself on a dictionary, first part is fine but I couldn't get anywhere on the second part except for "disappear"...ShadowSonic wrote:I'll make a guess here...

It's kind of hard to explain the difference completely, but I know one aspect of it at least.ShadowSonic wrote:Actually, I have a question this time Grammar question, that is.
What's the difference between the ーたら and the -えれば constructions? I know both of them have something to do with conditionality but I'm not sure how they differ.
For instance, how is
食べなかったら
different from
食べなければ
?
-tara is conditional, but for action, and indicates sequence.
食べなかったらしかれた
would be something like "if/when/after didn't eat, was scolded"
-ba is more a conditional for something that hasn't happened. It's used more for advice or commands.
食べなければ病気になる
would be something like "if [you] don't eat, [you] get sick"
Does that make sense?

I believe he's saying "sai hazure da na". The phrasing seems awkward to me, and I've never heard it actually used anywhere else, but if forced to translate, I would say it's something like "The difference between us was greater than I expected"khdu wrote:
Anyway, what is Shen's winpose against those 'weak' people?
"Kusai hazaru da na", isn't it?
*is deaf when it comes to Japanese*
As for Japanese tips - err, watch anime, remember stock phrases? That helps you build your vocabulary quickly. But no subsititute for actual hard work, I say - attend classes, buy a book and work on it, etc.
