Ok, so there are no King of Fighters near where I live. But, friends and I decide to go to a new arcade and, shockingly I find that they have KoF 99' (Although there were Capcom characters in it?) And a Neo-Geo arcade cabinet with 4 games.
Anyways, I can't find anything online. So, whats some good tips and tricks I need to beat my friends and the story? Striker bombs, switching characters out and using specials?
While were on that, give me a really cheap character!

KOF 99 with capcom characters? maybe its one of those hacked ones, I've seen stuff like that before

Ok, went back to the arcade and they have both of the machines you said, Millenuim battle and fight. And also 97' and SVC Chaos.
So, for Millenuim battle is there a storyline? It seems kind of random fighting.

Wellllllll if you want to get to grips with KOF, play KOF 97, it's got the basics, and still gets rinsed out in China. I'm not sure who still plays 99!

pick Kyo, Iori and anyone else you like!
Or if you want to play 99, ... ok but use Bao. Very easy to learn and effective!!! I don't really have to give you any tips, you'll see! Spam those fireballs!
Hmm I think best Striker was either Ralf or Seth. iirc taunting will give you a striker bomb back... Use Strikers to defend you then when you are ready with combos use the strikers to max out your combos as some such as Ralf will send the opponent into the air and you can juggle them.

But yeah, I am playing 99' mainly for the storyline (And to play some KoF, its the only KoF I have!), none of my friends play KoF and no one plays this arcade machine.
