Silent Hill Origins PS2

Holy crap it's like playing SH1 all over again

but this time there's no strafe! (or was that in SH2?)

Don't like the mysterious little girl, it stinks of the americanised Ring movie, the girl seems to be obviously leading you, rather than you just chasing a ghost.

Well that's my only complaint so far

Otherwise it seems ok

the expendable weapons thing is quite scary, should prove... fun...

goddam button bashing... !

more soon!

this is pretty shitty honestly. the camera is insanely bad, controls are dodgy, characters are flat as they can be, it feels like fanfiction, the level design is boring with maybe the exception of the theatre. Silent Hill died with 4, maybe with 3, but it's out of pure excellency since 2.
don't worry about the weapons, by the end of the game you'll have dozens, just conserve ammo for bosses maybe. honestly the fighting engine is so bad it feels like a punishment when you can't just evade a monster and have instead to fight.

Game is short short short! Only played PSP version but I heard PS2 version moves slower.

I quite liked 4. i mean it's a fucking mess, but it has a few great things that make it worthwhile. Way better than this origin trash anyway, at least it's its own thing.

dude, you either:
1 - run;
2 - pin them down with some sort of special sword, but they're rare! though iirc you can pin them down if you have things to do in the area, then before leaving you get the sword back( and free the ghost as well).

it's been a while but iirc you first knock down the ghost and then use it.

You beat the living crap out of the ghosts until they go down.
then you stand over them, unzip your pants an impale them
with your sword of obedience.

And yes 4 was a fucking mess.
