PS2 Command Macro Guide

Post by Gunsmith » Tue Jul 01, 2008 23:10

To record a macro
go to the practice menu
and go to COMMAND

go to record

press select.
it will say "READY"
do your move
then press START
if you press select you will start again.

you then return to the menu
you can see your inputs already on the top- in the input line

you can CHECK or go to EDIT

EDIT
the input block
INS = insert mode, where you will overwrite an input rather than add an extra in front
BS = Backspace
DEL = Delete infront
the fwd and bk arrows move along the input line

press R1 to move forward once
press R2 to skip forward 10 blocks

L1/L2 do the opposite
X deletes the input
square inputs a multi
To input a multi you press up or down to cycle through the direction input then press right and then up or down to cycle through the button input. Press O to confirm. A red block will appear to signify the input.
O inputs whatever your cursor is on in the input selection block BEHIND the selected input on the line

Each input is frame by frame
it seems necessary to input something like SP four times to be registered.

press START or go to END to confirm your edit and go back to menu

you can then CHECK

(if you record now, you will wipe your edit)

CHECK
press COMMAND (check your key config - default is L1)
if you press any move while the macro is playing, you will cancel it.

press START to go back to menu
When you're happy to save the command

go to EXIT
and command change YES

if you don't want to change the command or if you messed up

go to CANCEL

and command NO change YES

hope that helps. Any questions?

Thank you very much for this!

Sure that it'll helps for training isues.

But I have a question : to make the cpu use a recorded command on training mode, do I always have to record it as second player? Or is there a way to do everything just with the first player?

If it was anything like XI, then you would have to do it on p2. So therefore, if you want a character to have the same input for p1 and p2, you would have to do it twice. Make sure you save aswell.

Yes it seems so. I just checked and 2P still has the old heavy D macro, while 1P has the 26 hit combo...
