Hmm, looked through some of it with Babelfish. 2 interesting points:
- The combo section lists Iori as having a scumgale infinite (repeated close stand A> Scum gale).
- Apparently some characters can use the Quick Dodge> attack to create combos off overheads. E.g. Kyo: f+B> Quick Dodge> Dodge Attack> Koto Moon Positive.
Can anyone confirm or deny if I read those correctly?

Well yeah, both are true.
It's noted that Iori has the scum gale infinite but from what I read, it does pathetic damage (since you're just doing weak attacks one after one) and seems to be rather hard to follow. I suppose this is done in Extra mode or the forward hopping in Ultimate since it's much faster.
The other one if you remember in the system discussion thread, is that you can do AB during normal moves (for a stock), and if you use Extra's dodge your character won't roll forward, instead he does a quick dodge. I don't use dodging so I can't really tell whether it would connect like they said though.

Yeah... the only way I could imagine the infinite being balanced is if 1) its too hard to get more than a few reps consistently and 2) iori suffers too much from having dash instead of run that its just not worth using extra for a semi-infinite.

Why don't we work on an English Wiki...We post so much information that we might as well. Hmm, what's the difference between a wiki and a FAQ?

Wikis are editable by everyone (so if someone finds a mistake they can fix it themselves), while FAQs are typically the job of one person. Vandalism is obviously an issue, but it can be managed with the right moderation policies.
An English '98UM wiki certainly sounds like a worthwhile undertaking.

Hmm, I think SRK already has an english Wiki, although its admittably bare right now. One option would be to just contribute to their wiki in a single community effort.
OTOH, isn't Gunny doing his FOOK? If he is then why don't we all just be contributors to it.

Have you seen anyone give two sh*ts? Look at the gamefaqs page for UM! Two faqs- And one's a fake copy and paste job. ON is the last stand!
But by all means, prove me wrong! I'll try to copy and paste
into the fook before it gets trashed/abandoned.
pretty much anything you guys say will be added to the fook, don't worry. The last date for my theatre show is 31st July so I'm working on that and playing ggpo to relax.
After that... I'm going on holiday till September
after that... I'm teaching full time
so yeah... progress on the fook will be slow
but who cares, the forums are all we need right now!
