Samurai Shodown V Xbox Live

New preview from Gamespot.
Doesn't seem to be changed much from the PS2 version...no 3D BGs or anything, but the AST is still in there.

And my anger towards XBOX just keeps growing and growing.

Because XBOX keeps taking games that I want. Samurai Shodown is only on the PS2 in the Japanese version. The same goes for GGX2#R and KOF '94.

Don't blame Microsoft, blame SCEA for rejecting the US PS2 release. SNKP USA was only too willing to release it on PS2 here.

The port is out now.

Apparently the game is SSV in name, but it has all the features of SSVS, including the additional characters, and the additional tweaks. To summarise, from Cyberfanatix.com:
- Xbox Live support featuring Tournament Mode
- Choose from a total of 26 fighters including 14 new characters to the franchise
- Select characters designed by world-renowned manga artist Nobuhiro Wazuki
- Power up the Rage Gauge and unleash death combos for extreme damage
- Force your opponent into slow motion with Spirit Strength
- Includes original Japanese voice over and text.

Other known additions include:

- Additional Characters: Mizuki, Amakusa and Zankuro
- Playable Sankuro
- Option to have Arranged Soundtracks
- Option to have English Announcer
- English Story
Even though I'm not a SamSho fan, I have to say that...that's quite a port.

What? Did they actually add the SS0S extra characters? :o

... what about the balance? May there be a chance to see this game with the SS0S changes to the engine?

... :( Now I'm tempted in buying this AND SSTK.

Booo!

Apparently it's just a slightly modified version of SSV for PS2 :| No Special characters (although they're listed in the manual for some reason) or engine changes either.
