SNK is already dead. It's SNK Playmore, remember? 
All finer details aside, you don't sound very confident about SNKP's future. I mean, we all know that the netplay code in KoF XIII's home ports may very well make or break the company, but let's try to remain positive here!
'Sides, I reckon ON would still live in the event of an SNKP death scenario. BlazBlue seems to be gaining popularity here (and I'm trying to raise awareness of the awesome that is Jackie Chan in Fists of Fire), but more than anything, the forum itself would be a celebration of KOF and everything else that made SNK great.
