Er.. will it really make any difference? It's not like I'm missing out on HD or something, right?
As DVD starts dying out, some good bargains to be had. Can't go wrong with anime, right? (Not including CGI heavy stuff)

BD of course. These days most anime worth watching is already in 720p anyway, might as well buy in a format that supports it.
Of course this is assuming they're not just upscaling it to make money...

Always bet on donut.
If you have the money to blow, Blu-Ray. If not, throw on the eyepatch, get a wise cracking parrot, and do some plunderin'.

Re: Should I buy death note on DVD or BR?
dammit! Why make me spend more money?
I'm probably never going to watch it, just want to have it proudly on my shelf (not in a cdr folder)
I get the feeling even if I bought BR, within a decade we'll have HDDRRDVDHR format which will be even better.
So what's the point?

Death Note the live movie or the anime series?
If the movie, might as well get DVD. It's not like as if the live effects warrant the enhancement of a BR.
If anime...who buys anime in this day and age?!

Perhaps people who feel guilty about downloading and want to give back to the studios they arguably stole from?K' Evans wrote:

Only if it's not available through places like Crunchyroll and Hulu, though.

Not that I don't agree with what you said; but buy things only if it is worth it.
