Swine flu hit Mexico, apparently it's gotten 80 of 'em.

Several cases reported in the states, a few cases reported elsewhere.

Don't pick your nose!

What I want to know is how humans got infected to start with...a one-off mutation of the original virus?

Bird flu, salmonella in peanut products, now swine flu.

I had regular flu for a little while earlier this year. Not cool.

I am not going to panic until I get more details regarding this SI.

<_<: I mean my family in SoCal does not seem to be worried so... >_>;;;
Staying calm and logical is much better than jumping up and down and go OMG WTF OMG WTF JEEEEEEBUS WANNA KEEEEL US AWL!
I keep on checking the google map and OMG I AM kinda going WTF here.. o.o

On the other hand, I was the only one wearing a mask at work whenever I get sick and my co-workers used to laugh at me - well who is laughing now bi0tzhes!!! lmao

What sucks about this is, that we're on verge of finding a flu vaccine that's able to protect us from ALL flu strains.

Sounds like some lonely guy did something that he shouldn't have with a few pigs. And now we're all doomed.

But before you go judging him in doing something so disgusting and unnatural, keep in mind that these were the pigs:

We have some cases here in NC. I'm eerily calm about it all. Partly because I think it's overhyped, but who knows..

Well, you know how the media is. Overhyping brings them bigger audiences.

I think people are more concerned that it has a characteristic of four different viruses - bird flu, swine flu, human flu, and the strain of flu originated from Hong Kong or something - and it might mutate very quickly to something else. But again, it is a virus, they mutate freaking fast to begin with.

It seems like in the First World countries, they have no problem treating it. What I also heard is that if you take Tamiflu once, it does not work ever again or something, so... okay?

I still got my annual flu shot (damn my arm hurt and it completely knocked me out cold this morning), and keeping a good basic hygiene. I am not TOO worried about it.

My friend in Mexico described to me how there was a mad rush to get supplies from the supermarket and then basically the whole town shut down just about. My friend heeded my advice and shunned his job and stayed indoors with the net for 3 weeks.

*sweatdrop
