This topic seems to have become prone to double posts, but whatever.

Interesting news:

That's a lot of big names playing in LA. Alice Nine, Gilgumesh, and especially Kagrra I'd like to see. And the rest of the acts aren't bad either, though I would have to bring a gun to deal with Miyavi fangirls. I don't know if it would warrant a trip all the way to LA though.

Wow, Kagrra live D:

I'd love to go and see them, but I get the feeling that I'm not going to be able to travel anywhere around the performance date.

For the first time in forever I've got a CD in hard copy before having it downloaded. It's Plastic Tree's new album Naga to Posi. I've just started listening to it, and it is great, as I expected.

So, um, apparently Yoshiki has a MySpace page.
WTF?
http://www.myspace.com/yoshiki
It's linked off his home page so I think it's legit.

Also, this may be of some interest to Yoshiki fans:

Random thought that occurred to me while listening to my iPod at work - what happened to the members of Siam Shade?

Just got my hands on Luna Sea's memorial cover album. Judging from what I hear so far, it may be good enough for me to drop $40 on at CDJapan.

I just started listening to it because you reminded me I had it. I don't care for it mainly because I really like Luna Sea and I don't listen to any of the bands on the cover album. The covers aren't bad, but I much prefer the original versions of what I've heard so far.

Some interesting news
RENTRER EN SOI is breaking up. So much for seeing them live.
Dir en Grey is releasing the different versions of thier new album in the US, and before Japan at that. They are even putting out a vinyl version.
Sugizo touring America. Odd choice of cities, too. Denver and Aspen for some reason.

In more personal news, I've got tickets to see Dir en Grey again. This time at Clutch Cargos in Pontiac in November. Now I gotta figure out who to get to go with me again.

I watched the Luna Sea reunion concert (in 720p) and it was amazing.

Looks like the first DLC for Rock Band 2 will feature an X Japan song:

It's I.V., the song they performed for their reunion concert.

Dir en Grey's new album Uroboros came out today. I've listened to it once and I really like it. The whole albums seems tipped more towards their slower brooding songs that I like better. I can't wait to see it live. Only 1 week away.
