Yeah, that's rather WTF. I suppose that they assume that you're going to watch them twice to see how everything works chronologically.

But being a brainless watcher myself, I just threw away the whole storyline thing and treated it as if every episode is not linked with each other, and still managed to enjoy it. That's partially because the episodes aren't complete, so to speak.

FLCL is FUBAR anime not WTF anime

Pani Poni Dash is WTF anime.

eg: They talk about something or other
suddenly scene cuts to rabbit
rabbit talks to cat god
rabbit is swallowed by black hole

case closed? discuss.

The first and second episodes of Haruhi don't give you a very good impression of what the series as a whole is about.

I'd advise you to watch until at least episode 3 before making up your mind.

I skimmed thru 4 episodes of princess... trying to find "what the series as a whole is about"... found nada.

And it appears this is very japanese trend to start EXTREMELY slow or base it on nothing...

was recommended to me in the last anime thread... seen a few eps, didn't like it...
