Anyway, Melbourne, Australia, has over 3.5 million residents. How many does Melbourne, Florida, have? Not as many, I presume. I agree, it would be better, casualties-wise, if Melbourne, Florida, was hit rather than the sparsely populated Melbourne, Australia. Anyone who disagrees is biased, or stupid.
That's not the point. The response should not be to wish that the terrorists attempt to kill innocent lives somewhere else. The response should be to wish that the terrorists will not attempt to kill anyone at all.

I understand your point, but the terrorists stated that L.A. and Melbourne were next. I was just stating my futile hope that the Melbourne they mentioned was a different one.

it's not completely unlikely that the melbourne mentioned was the one in florida, but with the 2006 commonwealth games to be held in melbourne, victoria, then it's a higher possibility that it's down under

but even so, a mention does not mean immediate threat.......they've said this shit before over and over again

Doesn't make it any less selfish. :X

I find it funny that the BBC or CNN haven't reported on this yet.

That is pretty callous Eczema.
Although I can understand what you are saying from a practical standpoint, that was very bad form.

well all in all, im sure no one in their right mind would go "ooooh, pick me, pick me!" if ever terrorism was searching for a target. but to wish it on someone else is also......erm, not great :P

Ecezma is just saying, if given a choice of being selected for an inevitable scenario, he favours the choice of being not the first one.

A New Zealand white male sent letters with hate mail and slices of pork to various Muslim wommans addressess he got off the electrol roll.

He got 6 monthes Detention at home rather than jail and said "sorry" to Muslim leaders.

The Muslim leaders thought the sentence was to strong.....

(of course they would say that not caring that the muslim womman were terrified after all they are just for raping and stuff)

:o PC!

okok, how about, I hope that the terrorists have a change of heart and world peace is achieved. How is that?

Anyway, I thought that it would have been obvious that zero casualties would be preferred, and thus needless to say.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/4300274.stm

More bombs go off in Bali, almost 3 years to the day of the first Bali bombings. At least 22 people killed.

Quite sad, really - I went to Bali on holiday in 1996, and I recall it being a very tranquil and quiet place. Worst part is the island is actually 90% Hindu, and not Muslim, but its status as a tourist hotspot makes it a target anyway.

Terrorism is something all of us will have to put up with in the future, such things will continue to happen until the day when the terrorist leaders come out for a cup of tea with the world leaders.

Even then, who knows what might happen.
