It's the Count of Montecristo in a futuristic setting, and it's one of the more interesting and deep anime i've ever seen.Oh and obviously, Samurai Champloo

I checked out the first episode, I see what they mean about "cheap" mindfucks. It's just because it's very visual as opposed to being subtle (A bus that grows legs hmmm). I'll check it out though... this looks very old though... isn't this 2004?KoFFreaK wrote:yeah I´ve seen the manga, it looks really good(maybe because its just ink). the thing I dont like about bleach are the hollows, they coul've lokked cooler, but thats about it.
I'm not directly familiar with the situation in the US, but more than violence the show talks quite liberally about sexual behaviours, homosexuality, brothels and such, sometimes in a humorous way, sometimes not, and for whole episodes.Apathy Wind wrote:Question: Is Champloo something that would be significantly edited if placed on television? Reason I ask is because Cartoon Network is now running SC as part of their Adult Swim lineup. Generally Adult Swim doesn't edit their anime too much (or at least not as much as the rest of CN) but I don't want to start watching this if it's gonna be a hacked mess (I'd rather just buy the unedited version). Inversely, if it'd make a decent translation to TV than I might as well save my money and watch it for free.
