Could be an issue with the laptop or the router not supporting the security encryption type. IE older laptop's NiC does not support WPA2 that the router is setup with.

I've been working on hobbies lately with my free time. I own a lot of retro/semi modern consoles and enjoy working with my A/V setup to run them all in RGB video, ony my Sony PVM monitors. it involves soldering, cable making, signal conversion, and some other things. I have:



NES/SMS/X'eye/Super Famicom/Turbo Duo R/Sharp Twin Famicom/Sega Saturn/Dreamcast/PS2 Slim/Wii/Arcade Supergun/Neo Geo(MVS 1C/1F)/MSX 2+.

I run all my consoles in RGB, the NES, Sharp Twin, and Turbo Duo are modded for such, the cabling goes through a mishmash of SCART switches and RCA breakout cables into a Pelican component/a/v switch that passes the RGB/sync/audio signals into an audio authority 985U distribution amp, which has simultaneous output to my 2 Sony PVM monitors and my holo3dgraph input card on the PC.

I guess a good enough example of the hobby is solving little compatibility problems between formats. For instance I built this little box 2 days ago to combine/clean the 15 khz H/V sync signals my Xselect D4 transcoder unit outputs when converting 480i component to 15khz RGB.
