You been living off of take out most of the time shiny? We need to get some food talk going here at ON. Adding sleep talk to that would cover 99.9 % of my interests at one fell swoop.Shiny wrote:Trying cooking again. My 2nd attempt at bolognese sauce was better than the last time.
How so? Ergonomics? Aesthetics? Neo geo sticks/pads are standard JAMMA, and I can play any arcade pcb I want with a supergun. The Master wrote:Consolised MVS FTW yo. seriously. it beats supergun every time.
I recently mastered Alfredo Sauce. I learned that it's the technique on how to cook it that's key. It was a delicious and slightly garlicy success.Shiny wrote:Trying cooking again. My 2nd attempt at bolognese sauce was better than the last time.

Just sayin'.
A CMVS is basically a crippled supergun in a shiny case. None of those features are CMVS exclusive, much less Neobitz or JROK encoders. Superguns can be built to spec, and JAMMA harnesses are optional. You can just have a JAMMA interface port on the side of the unit. For what a CMVS costs on average, it just makes no sense to have such a limited system when you can build a supergun for 1/4 the cost or buy one for 1/2. If you can't handle a PCB invest in a box with a JAMMA interface slot. I swear, you neo geo guys crack me up. FFS, at least install a JAMMA edge passthrough with a switch for a larger game libraryThe Master wrote:well, in all cases. really. no extra wires from the supergun, R/F S-vid ( and Componet via JMCurtz' Neobitz encoder). Plus if you go to your friend's place for gatherings like i do alot, a Consolised MVS is easier to carry around.
none taken. though it's alot simpler imho. everything should have VGA or something equal built-in. just for simplicity's sake.Arasoi wrote:A CMVS is basically a crippled supergun in a shiny case. 1/4-1/2 the cost, 10,000 times the game library vs exorbitant cost for one system. Oye vey. CMVS is the Macintosh of home arcade solutions, overpriced crap that doesnt do nearly enough
I'm sorry if I'm coming off as harsh, it's nothing personal. I just find the whole CMVS concept as kind of silly.
