Both my computers are fucked. I think this possibly the worst year of my life. I have this feeling that it's going to get worse at the end of Aug.

Re: Orochinagi wants to know what you're up to!
It's a software issue, I'll probably just get windows installed on another hard drive, have it installed, and then just take everything back. I did lose a substantial amount, but I think I've kept the most important things around.
I just really hate reconfiguring my computer the way I want it. Firefox has the fucking smart surf bar on, and I need to turn it off. I need to reinstall rocketdock, I've lost a bunch of apps.....
Most importantly I lost my collection of Ueno Juri pictures......

Ugh losing computers suck.
My iMac (my first one) logic board went dead and then I had to get a whole new computer. Then one day I came home and found my new computer face down in a pile of glass (courtesy of my cat Mr. Bond). Thankfully that was only the protective sheild but yeah... it was still a whole lotta trauma. X_X

I have to say we have quite the attachment to our PCs/HDDs now ... it's more the files in them but yeah I don't know how I'd feel if I lost all the data I've collected over the past three years.
Hope you can still recover some of the files from the HDDs Oro

The dead computer, not a problem, the dead HD, gonna be expensive, I think I'll part with it.

Guh... I am so sorry, foxy.
Losing your computer is hard.
I have been spending hours on Fable 2 on the 360 'coz it is soooo awesome and fun.
I dunno what game I am going to get next, though.
Maybe I get the Castlevania game... xD and Limbo... for sure...

Re: Orochinagi wants to know what you're up to!
I got the data off of my HDD after it went rogue on me last year, but as I was updating it for reuse, the power went out, rendering the HDD useless. But I did manage to get the music and family photos off of it before it was given the long kiss good night.
I feel your pains, my brother-in-misery.

Heard the new Castlevania is pretty bad. It's not like the other ones. You can read the review on Giant Bomb.
I'm just going to part with the hard drive, it's going to cost nearly 1300 dollars to fix, and while I can swing it, I'm not sure it's entirely worth it.

I'm not quite sure what's happened here. Dead pc or dead hard drive?
If anyone wants to know about data recovery, post a topic in the tech support forum, I've had plenty of experience
My friend actually transplanted a hd board to get his data back but generally your valuable data isn't bigger than a few gb. The rest is not i.e. anything you downloaded. And yes that includes old porn.

Actually, most of the important stuff is about 100 gigs worth. A lot of old dramas that I adore and what not.
It's actually a combination, I have a dead PC, software issue, AND a dead external, which is dead.
