I was so screwed up over Eddie's death that I wrote a short eulogy to calm down.

I didn't know Eddie too well before he entered the WWE. So I'll admit it: I was not a fan of Eddie Guerrero in the beginning. I just didn't get him. He could work, but he was kind of a corny heel, and his hair was funny, and he didn't seem to have all that many moves outside of the standard lucha hurricanranas and splashes.
It took me years to understand, but one day it just hit me out of nowhere. I realized: no matter whether he was face or heel, whatever angle he was in, he clearly poured his heart and soul into wrestling. His personality and charm always made it something to remember for the fans. Most important of all, he showed as much love for the fans as they had for him. When I finally understood this I became an Eddie fan for life.
It's frustratingly sad to think that someone who loved his family, who had such obviously good friends, who did so much for the fans and overcame so much had to die alone in a hotel room at the peak of his career. He deserved at least to feel the love of his friends and family at the moment of truth. So I hope that his gigantic soul may rest in peace, forever warmed by the lives of those he touched.

Raw is going to be an Eddie tribute tomorrow. I heard Benoit almost loses it right from the outset.

Well put. It's a shame he was taken, as you said, at the peak of his career and his life, really.Gojira wrote:I was so screwed up over Eddie's death that I wrote a short eulogy to calm down.

Of all my favorite superstars, why does it have to be Eddie? Man, I am going to miss him. R.I.P. Eddie (may perpetual light shine upon him) *cries*
*waits for his own Im your Papi! shirt in the 2nd week of December and WrestleMania 22, and makes Eddie tribute avatar by Friday*
Speaking of WrestleMania 22, do you think Eddie will be an inductee in teh Hall of Fame?
[undertaker]Eddie Guerrero, rest..... in........ peace......[/undertaker]

Watched RAW last night (Yes, I don't have it live), and everyone was really hurt it seems.
Steph and HHH did rather good work in conveying that Eddie is not just a person that brings joy to himself, but to everyone he comes into touch with.
Rey took off his mask... and continues to leave me wondering what was WRONG WITH HIM!? LOOK UP!! (Well, not the time, definitely.)
Benoit was broken. Honest.
Makes you wonder if Taker dies, would there be such outpouring of emotion for a backstage leader.
RIP Eddie.

*made Eddie av too early, but meh*
This Friday's SmackDown! is going to be another Eddie tribute episode, as of the preview thingy. And I can finally see teh remaining superstars (who weren't present at the Nov. 15 RAW; eg: Matt Hardy) wear the I'm your Papi! shirt! (or the new dead shirt up at WWEShop.com) =P=P
Oh look who's back?
Also, Christian (you know, Captain Charisma.....) is now known as Christian Cage in TNA. Come to think of it, he still seems to have the same personality/ gimmick from his WWE days. Correct me if I'm wrong though. (still wears the shiny trash bag jacket, though)
