Question: Is the Rozen Maiden manga as good as the anime?

Yes, although the story is significantly different in several places.

Depends on your tastes, really.

For instance, Sousei Seki and her master are vastly different in the manga.

Fear Nagato's mad haX0rz skillz in Episode 11. :D

BTW, is MoHS 14 or 15 episodes? The next one is Episode 12 which apparently comes from a chapter in Volume 6 of the novel. Episode 12 is the upcoming Live Alive Episode. Episode 10 was the conclusion of the Remote Island Syndrome (Part II). The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya V and VI episodes should be the finale, as the Boredom of Haruhi Suzumiya episode (AKA the baseball episode) showed that it happened soon after the end of the first book (or to be exact, after Mikuru's Adventure movie).

If this is the case, what about the chronological episode 11? I can't seem to find it anywhere in the MoHS Wiki. Unless, that is, Episode 13 is actually Episode 11 and then Episode 14 is TMoHS V episode...which would mean Episode 6 is missing! Would the missing episode be an OAV? Or will there really be 15 episodes instead of 14? Or maybe the first episode (Mikuru Asahina's Adventure - Episode 00) is Episode 11?

...Okay, now I'm overanalysing TMoHS anime too much.

Wikipedia states it is going to be 14 episodes, so did anime news network.

I saw only a few screenshots of episode 11 and couldn't help but think of a long running franchise named "Legend of the Galactic Heroes". And one of the screenshots made me want to bring a Nagato home.

Edit: I also watched the 9th episode of Higurashi. This fucking doctor who looks like Uryu Ishida from Bleach talked about Satoko in a creepy manner. I almost screamed "YOU BIG DAMN PEDOPHILE!" as he was talking about her. I hope he'll die in a gruesome way.

The way he was talking about Satoko, he probably IS a pedophile.

Also, since he's the head doctor of the medical clinic and he calls himself "Manager", it lends credence to my theory that he's behind the mindfucking of Rena and Mion, as shown in Episode 4. The nurse Takano probably found out about Irie's plans and sought out the photographer's help in recoverming more evidence against him.

EDIT:: BTW Sheba, do you also post on AOMM?

I just started watching Higurashi Naku no Koro ni.

My gawd, it's the sickest, most disturbing anime I've seen in... well, ever, I think.

Is it just me or has this anime season been pretty damn good so far? With Haruhi, Ouran High School, School Rumble (I kinda preferred the first season though, so far it's been pretty meh), Nana, and Higurashi, there's been plenty of stuff worth watching.

No, when you don't have a lot of time, and you need to choose the shows you'll watch carefully and trying to pick the best.

I admit, however, than Demonbane and DaCapo Second season aren't a good example of that, but heh :3

BTW, LOL @ the Samurai Shodown references in Utawarerumono, being Eruru and Aruru (<3) the most obvious ones.

Yes, I am.

The one who says Yuki is the superior quiet, taciturn, stoic girl.
Hell, they had 10 years to refine the stereotype.

EDIT: And WTF at HIgurashi 10? Seeing what she had to go through is too much!
I fucking hope the uncle will pay tenfold for what he did.

EDIT 2: d/led the 11th episode of Haruhi. MOAR NAGATO PWNAGE! Like I said earlier, the space battles can be seen as tributes to shows like "Captain Harlock" or "Legend of the Galaxy Heroes". The idea of alternating beep version and normal version of classic music was clever. While it was not as thrilling as the 10th episode, it was one of those episodes appealing to Nagato's fans. Heck, for some reason, she have been drawn cuter. Or maybe they wanted to show that the events she had gone through, or triggered herself made her more "human"?

Can I have one?
