Iran's mistakes were HUEG LIEK XBOX

And they were doing fairly well up to that point, too.

Just wondering, what do non-Australian and non-Japanese think will be the result of tomorrow's clash between the 2?

Everyone watched a game where Iran overpowered MExico which made its 3 subs by the start of the second time and was very likely to catch MExico on the rebound...

then... I guess fate happened...

Both teams are average at worst, why would you mind? :3

Weeeeeee, I'm happy ^___^ Mexico won, and they did way better than certain people expected *stares @ eczema*

And Angola did great. They lost, yeah, but considering it was their debut they played decently.

I think Japan will win, not by much. 1-0, or 2-1.

wheeeee! football!

1/8th of the WC gone, just like that...

"Mexico not crap!" shocker! Marquez is some player. So bloody calm. It's like he's playing a different game. Classy.

I don't think there have been any outstanding games, but they have just about all been quite entertaining. Except the second half of the England game of course. It's interesting what's happening in the media at the moment. I think they've just gotten sick of Sven's utter incompetence, so the knives are really out. The BBC lot were slaying him right after the Paraguay match, and quite rightly. The guy hasn't a fucking clue about football. Just amazing where you can get in life just by being really lucky.

I'll be supporting Japan in solidarity with speshul lady fren. Even though she hasn't a clue about the game.

Btw, whatever happened to dribbling, overlapping runs and midfielders going into the box? Seems to me that a lot of the teams we're seeing are really conservative offensively. Just watch - we'll see Brazil stride onto the pitch and do all these things and everyone will be oohing and ahhing over it instead of asking the bloody obvious question - why the fug isn't my team trying that?

The only reason why Japan would lose to Croatia or Australia is because of their physical differences. Every team has a star turn, but teamwork>all in football, and that's what Japan is good at... If they can manage to control the tempo of the game they have a real chance of winning. Just gotta hope that Ono and Nakata are up to it tonight.

Also, Nakamura is a true set piece specialist. Australia have no such luck... But that being said, imo the Australians can really only hurt Japan through set pieces. I'm banking on Japan 2-1.

Japan's first goal is basically done by pushing away the Aussie keeper, which the ref didn't see. =PPPP

And the first half of the first half is basically Australian player knocking onto a Japanese player, Japanese player does dramatic fall on the ground move. The ref noticed this by the 30th minute or so, and then the falling down drops considerably.
