OMG Nobari no Ou is the most boring piece of shit ever! It's almost as bad as Casshern SINS hahahahahahahaha. It started off so good as well but then it got hella emo, worse than Shinji Evangelion emo ... and I thought that could never ever happen hahaha

Yeah, from the 1st few episodes it was boring as hell, so I dropped it.

So how about that new summer season? CANAAN and Umineko are off to a good start.

ah... surreal flowery eye candy is here again. I just hope they give up on the blonde panty shots now. How many more refugee jokes can they cram in? Hell, I'd watch sensei just for the colours + materials floating across the screen.

Oh ok a bit of panty shot can't hurt. Just not too regularly otherwise it loses it's charm.

Episode 1 of Zan didn't have that. Though Shaft's other show, Bakemonogatari, had it instead. Despite that, the show seems pretty weird and interesting in terms of the supernatural.

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 seems retro-ish from it's designs. Guess the plot will kick in next week after the earthquake does it's damage.

yeah i don't get panties fetish and i don't really watch "dedicated" anime, but pantyshots in shaft anime are so out of place and deliberate, it's clear they are there mostly for parody and wtf moments. I agree the less the better thought.
The one at the start of bakemonogatari is just plain surreal. that anime looks interesting exactly because it's like zetsubou sensei sorta-horror with big budget, i'll definitely check it out.

i watched 2 eps of umineko something something which i think is from higurashi people. this time there's only one little girl but the trade-off is that she makes a pretty retarted sound (UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU) every 2 words. At one point her mother gets really angry and slaps her violently saying, stop making that sound, you seem retarded. I was positively surprised this(sorta breaking the 4th wall since little girl and funny noises = cute in mysoginoland, and telling it like it is is something new i guess) but most likely the show is going in the opposite direction. Also lol at every single woman having giant boobs. Will follow this maybe out of spite but it doesn't look very good.

Well for one, you won't expect any talk about the power of friendship or that sort if you disliked that part in Higurashi. This is just a big supernatural murder mystery, more or less. I believe a few folks at Animesuki have been working on translating the game, as well.

I kinda lol'd when I saw those lovable face contortions from Higurashi S1 back here in the form of possessed Maria.

^I'd be surprised if you still felt that way after episode 4 :/

Nouveau impressiones:
Umineko no naku koro ni - It has enough promise of a good mystery to make me happy. Minus Maria's stupid seagull impressions. uUUUuuuUuuUUUUUUUUu
Umi Monogatari - cute, writing seems dull though. Too early to tell
Taishou Yakyuu Musume - again, cute. The musical number had me rofl, too bad that's probably the only one
Bakemonogatari - Proof that Shaft will neither bend nor break when it comes to style. Honestly though I don't know about it yet
Needless - probably the dumbest thing I've seen this year. It's like what would happen if Arc System made an anime and let Tomonobu Itagaki direct the ED

Too much talking heads lol. Though 5 looks fun because
It's the Higurashi Daybreak scenario!
GA Art Design Class fills the slice of life quota nicely alongside Spice and Wolf II; though it's more in line in with having Pani Poni style energy. I can dig that.

i'd say Eden of the East is good stuff.

Any of you gents have seen on imageboards gifs from gyagu manga biyori? there's a lot of little cyclical animations that'd be worth 1000 emoticons.

No, but I could work on a few. Just tell me the episodes you'd have in mind and I'll get to d/l 'em. I only remember watching Season 1 and a bit of Season 2, but subs were so slow that I forgot about them lol
