Rofl are you saying all terrorists are either iraqi or afghani?

edit: yeah i feel sad about this.. and it sucks that it's the only thing i can do about it by myself. i feel sorry for all of the lives affected by acts of cowardly terrorism.

I sincerly doubt there is a way to make sure who they are, but I'd say its a safe guess to say that they are affiliated with each other at least.

It would likely be a mistake to say 'they are all from 'X' place' however it would be a lie to say 'None of them are from 'X' place'. Clearly...

Also it has been stated that AQ is taking 'credit' for this...

Nah, AQ hasn't confirmed anything, just some group claiming to be LINKED to AQ.

I knew this attack was coming, sooner or later. I'm just fairly miffed that the cons of having super security for government buildings etc means terrorists have to take out their anger on civilians. Well there goes our lucky sevens.

There might be, but I don't think it'll be all that much. The "fear culture" is certainly not as strong in Britain (and anywhere else in the world) as it is in the US; you can tell by the reactions of everyone right after the attack. They seemed somewhat calm (at least that's the impression I got from watching the news).

The bad thing is, we know Italy is next (Al Qaeda said it would attack every major nation that supported the US in the Iraq War; Italy and Denmark are being pointed as the probable next victims). And there's not much the government can do to prevent the attack from happening.

When this news came out, i was a bit surprised... since Al Qaeda hasn't done any action for some time now.

Add to that, there's already political turmoil here and people are all giving a shit bout that.

The deaths are sad though..

An unequivocal show of evidence that the war on terrorism is a failure which may not be solved even after Bush or Blair's terms are over.

The only + point is the British are handling the aftermath fine.

Edit: Watched the news moments ago. I don't know, while condemning the acts is right but I am not sure on the "find the terrorists and crush them" mentality is the correct way. I mean, for one martyr death, you get 2 new fanatics born from it.

I won't bother to say anything more than reaffirm the obvious; that this is a terrible event, and am glad to see British ONers okay. I was hoping something like this wouldn't happen again. This violence against uninvolved innocents is really getting to me, and at this point, I just want it to come to an end.

Again , loss of life is a bad thing of course, but these people were provoked, plain and simple...
I agree. Once a cat scratched me for no reason!!! So I tortured it until it ran away. I'm glad for once I get some sympathy instead of just being called an animal abuser!!! It's so great ON has members like you !! :|

OH SNAP! Any news about Australia? We've been allies with UK and US for ages now. We helped the Brits in the Boer War and in Gallipoli, and of course, we have troops stationed in Iraq too. O_O We've never had a successful terrorist attack either, so I think we're due one! :o Good thing we're an island, no doubt that has helped us.

I'm sure many political leaders would absolutely love the chance to kiss Bush's ass. Australia scored an FTA out of it, and so far we haven't had any terrorist attacks, so I guess it's been a good decision, for now...... :o

That's what sucks the most, if you ask me. Then again, that's why it is called terrorism.

Yet another act of terrorism that is so called 'for the sake of God', which in the end, dampens the name of the Arabic/Islamic nation as a whole once again. Buncha bastards they are.

Good to hear you're OK, Gun and hopefully the rest of the British ON ppl are fine. My condolences to those who lost their lives on this act of human retardation.
