What constitutes identity?

Interesting you bring this up. I've been thinking about this a lot in the past year.
Though I won't say much (most people have said good things already), I will say this:
Don't let people dictate how you should or should not feel or act. Your identity is yourself. Embrace whatever values you feel have worth.
There are clearly so many people out in the "grey area" that still have no place in society, which is rather disappointing. People have been intermingling for generations... This is not new. It's just that recently, with the technology we have to keep ourselves informed of the rest of the world, we've been able to really draw in those map lines, physically and psychologically.

So I said more than I thought I would... sorry.

Idenity to me (as what Margoyal said) is pretty much being your own person and setting your own goals. Other's should not dictate who you are.

Everyone else has made so much great points in this post.

identity only seems to matter when you need to take sides
