I think it should be used liberally and without hesitation in cases where the suspect has taken the life of someone through premeditated murder, committed treason, or is otherwise a severe danger to the public's safety that WILL likely get out of jail if imprisoned, and on top of all of that shows no signs of possible reforming. This is obviously a very slim group of people.

A lot of people get killed when the evidence against them is not 100%, and that bothers me. The justice system is imperfect, so if a country uses the death penalty, it should be careful about whose life it takes. On the other hand, I dislike how slow in enacting the death penalty the justice system can be (For those who do in fact deserve it.) I suppose it's a no-win situation.
A lot of people have a problem with revenge, and feel that the death penalty is an extention of revenge for the emotionally wounded victims. I think it's because revenge under certain circumstances has never bothered me that I don't hate the death penalty so much.
Some people are so demented, so wrong, so dangerous that they simply can't be allowed to live. Very few criminals are actually like that, but I believe they exist.
