if you press LP then HP, for example, the combo is always the same. The only thing that can change this is the distance between you and your opponent because some moves change, for example Terry has a Standing HP which is a stomach punch which hits 2 times when close but only hits once when far and it changes into a straight punch.
Combo hits only count hits, the damage is not linked to the number.
