I believe Mizuchi and Neo-Dio are also unlockable through AW.net, if what people like beelzebubble have written elsewhere is correct.

i'm really wondering how they'd incorporate mizuchi into a playable character

he'd better not be duolon-style broken

Erh, I think I didn't clarify :P

Not taking in consideration Dio, Shishioh and Mizuchi (and probably Goodman)... it would seem there are no more secret chars in this game ;-;

I wanted to see more ADK chars :(

A video of the unlockable AW.NET characters (or time released outside Japan) is now available on the official site.

I tried to find a more suitable place for this, but the general threads are full of crap. And worse.

What does the powerbar over our avatars mean? What the hell does it do? Anything? Just wondering...

Thank you for bringing up the level.

While said character(s) are no doubt terrors, people are just discounting the user. It still requires skill to use the character(s). It is not as if all the vids you see showed the user of these character(s) murdering and KO perfected everyone else.

Power is nothing without control, people.
I was almost going to open up a separate thread for this. If the mods think that would've been a good idea, please split my posting up into a separate thread, thanks.

So, above what Empyrian said, today I got word from a German player of our community who currently resides in Japan. He even knows famous a-cho arcade (screw him for having the honor of being there! :mad: ). Just joking ;)
But he said nobody is playing NGBC over there! One cab and no players....
What the hell is wrong again with NGBC? Can anybody explain? Is it already declared broken for some stuff? Is it just too much of a light user game to them? Are they too frightened it could turn out a sVc2 and they don't want to waste their time playing NGBC?

I don't get it. So far no real "broken"-reports about the games surfaced and everybody is pretty satisfied, yet interest in Asia seems pretty low. At least in Japan....

Explanations?

Please DONT tell me "well, it's actually still quite new" and blah blah.
If the game were a bomb the Japanese would play it already and you know that. It's not even that BRAND new anymore. Release is more than 2 months ago iirc.

I really wonder about this alot too.

I like this game. *A lot* and I think that the balancing overall was pretty well done. They tried to make each character distinct (and when you have so many characters with fireballs and uppercuts, that's not always an easy thing to do) and I think they did a pretty good job.

Honestly, if people think that there's something about this game that is 'broken' or 'not fun', I'd really like to know about it.

kof players around my area do occassionally play it, but most complain it's boring.....i think it's because of the lack of hops, gcfs and weird characters

They probably don't like it because it's not KOF :P

It's a normal thing for me, when I play any other arcade.

Supposedly the game will arrive here this week, so... guys me luck, guys :(

Hopefully, there would be much variation of character usage.

Kim, Kyo, Mr. Big... blech... always them.

The Taiwanese tournament videos that were posted recently had excellent character variety. I think the winner was using Shermie. You also got to see characters like Washizuka, Kisarah, Geese, Hanzo, Fuuma and so on who don't seem to show up much in the Japanese vids.

The very people who will use Kyo/Iori, K`, Ryo, Kim team combinations in NGBC. Heh.

Or they seem very happy using shotos like Hanzo and Fuma, rack up a few wins and they think they mastered the game/won the greatest non Japanese Player award.

People at my place are just having too much fun on 2k2. Even 2k3 and NW have been moved to the dark, dingey corner where no-one often goes.
NGBC still gets a decent play tho.

@christensenray

In some places here in the PH, that's also the case... I don't know what makes them stay at 2k2, (i don't feel any remorse for them for that)... i'm already getting the hang of 2k3 (and possible XI)... other than Shermie's awesome animations.. and some other stuff... i don't find anything that special with 2k2...

As of now.. NGBC is having it's share of plays here since it's new... but give it some time.. i know people here would flock top 2k2 again.. ?_?
