Also, I find myself spamming his air RED kick alot. Damn useful thing. Works like Orochi Shermie's(Or rather in NGBC, shermie's) air kick(Lightning for orochi shermie), except faster, and further.

Yeah, i fought a few people that spam that kick and it got annoying. I found out that doing nothing is the best. If it touches you, you do the guard dash, if it doesnt you dash anyway or do a technique that hits with distance.

The third DP is not hard, it just relies on the timing of the hcb D and the 2 following DPs. If its a bit off, you almost can never connect with the last one.

Can somebody provide a detailed explanation of how to access Kyo's flashing free cancel mode?

I gather that you need to perform Mushiki, then press start?

Stupid question: what is the control input for Mushiki? I obviously know it by another name. My movelist doesnt contain that name.

Just hold down the C button (or was it B) as the Mushiki is ending. Kyo does a taunt then glows yellow. Not sure what it does though, and dun bother doing it if the opponent is cornered

actually just press any punch and he'll taunt.....

and yeah, definetly dont do it when cornered

im still not 100% sure on the powerup's properties. at times when the opponent hits you, the powerup ends, but at other times, you stay glowing.......

I've heard it gives '02 Max mode properties. Free cancels between specials.

so: qcfx2+B, when it ends tap P? i've been hitting start. No wonder not working...

Anyone actually gotten it to work and utilised the benefits :?:

Still cant get it to work. I CAN confirm the 3 uppercuts ending his cool combo though. Its not that hard with practice.

hello ray, it isn't suppose to be hard even... you can also replace hcb D with standing C to show off ;)

Kyo can SC off his Aragami.

Very fun to use, even though I'm starting to see a lot of Kyo-Iori teams here.

hmm, seems there's a bug with kyo and iori that Geese and I found the other day

perform kyo's special D assault with iori, and make sure that it kills them when kyo uppercuts......not sure if that actual hit does any damage, but what happened was instead of the usual grab animation iori does, he lunges forward, but misses the grab and stays on screen crouch blocking....

now, when this happened, it was against Ai, and she did her tetris super shortly after and hit both kyo and iori, but i didnt notice iori take any damage

now im wondering what will happen if:
*you tag out, or
*you do another d assault

freaky sheeyat, that :P

Mushiki formerly always refered to his exploding punch chain DM from the older KoF games. He had it for example in KoF98 and also in sVc if i remember correctly.
It is done by 2qcf+P (at least always used to be this way).

Edit:
Observed another thing concerning Kyo: dp+C knocks down now, even if only second hit connects which left Kyo WIDE open in for ex. KoF2k2....

erm, i posted that i while ago. I believe Mushiki is performed with qcfx2+K now. qcfx2+P is his single hit punch.

Still cant perform that taunt after Mushiki.

I know someone who can though... But i'm held to a vow of silence.

Whats the exact command to perform the taunt anyway? I find myself jamming all the buttons and start during the mushiki. Sometimes it performs the taunt, sometimes it don't.

you have just to tap Kick button a lot of times...

but don't try it at the corner... it's the best way to get beaten stupidly...
