More reasons to place Adel's LDM in the top 3:

1. Scaling. Although it scales terribly in combos, the fact that its 45% damage in *1* hit means it almost never gets affected by life scaling (which works IIRC by reducing damage from 40% life onwards by 1/2 and life from 25% onwards by 3/4). This, on balance, means it does a lot more damage than the numbers suggest.

2. Invulnerability. The Rose version beats down Bs for sure on start up, and goes through projectiles easily. Throw in the speed (its slower than Joker in terms of start up frame-eating, cause Oswald's palm instantly sticks out a fair distance, but its *much* faster than Joker in terms of travelling speed) and with good, experienced players, its almost a guaranteed hit.

Besides, who cares that it scales badly in combos? The whole point with Adel's combos is to land 2X BnBs and stun... then finish them off with a non-scaled LDM.

if u supercancel his LDM off his qcf+b, it wouldnt scale nearly as much as cr.b, cr.b, LDM.

Hey Duo, I notice you posted in the CX forums that Adel's LDM is unblockable against incoming opponents. That's not quite true. Its actually a crossup and can be punished if the opponent blocks correctly (from behind).

yeah i understand it is a crossup, but just which way are you supposed to block?

so far i havent seen anyone block it except the cpu in training mode when you set the dummy to down guard.

then again, training dummies have been known to block stuff thats humanly impossible like in every fighting game.

i still think its unblockable, as so far, i've seen no human has block it before.

Just block forward, like any other cross up. I've blocked it plenty of times. Adel will bounce right back into your sprite, hence making a normally unpunishable move, *very* punishable.

hmm, sorry to digress, but I must ask, does this apply to K's Qcf x 2 Punch DM on incoming opponents?

Yes it does. K's Heat Drive is quite a bitch for wakeup cross-up games, since it's so freaking fast that most folks wouldn't think to block the other way when waking up, especially when the K' user pulls it from a distance.
