Yeah, I think there are at least 3-4 stamina tiers.

Any impressions on which characters take less and who takes more?

Seems to me that Duck King takes more damage. Griffon takes less. But other than those two obvious examples, i can't really be sure.

Don't know if I should post this here but it roughly fits:
How can I tell apart who's leader in a match? I haven't played the game yet and when I see matchvideos I cannot tell who's leader except of course he or she does an LDM.... In KOF2k3 there were the blue life bars in KoFXI they are all orange (?). Is there any way to determine who's leader after the match has started?

Leaders have yellow lifebar, Non-leaders have a green lifebar.

Oh....
I never noticed. Must've been because of the videos (quality).

But couldn't they've chosen a better destinction between colors?

Blue and Orange was fine in 2k3.....

As I mentioned in her character thread, Momoko takes way more than average damage. Play her with Griffon a fair bit and can say with confidence she takes just under 2x the damage he does. Apart from Maxima taking less I haven't noticed major variations between the rest.

Eh, Leaders are denoted as having a green lifebar and non-leaders a yellow lifebar.

Um, no.
Screenshots on the official site have one yellow lifebar and two green ones. :P

Official site is using an unoffical build to get shots from then. It's green for leader.

WTF? I guess I'm just colourblind then.

BTW, 2K3 leader lifebar was blue, not green. :X

ShadowSonic wrote:Tagging:
A+C/B+D - regular tag. Can be done at any time as opposed to 2K3's time-limited system.
A+C/B+D during normal/special/DM hits = quick shift. Uses one skill stock.
A+C/B+D while in hitstun = saving shift. Uses two skill stocks.

Super cancelling and dream cancelling use one skill stock in addition to the cost of the DM/LDM.

You can now do a forward recovery roll by pressing f+AB while falling to the ground.

Also, from my own observation, the time taken for level 1 of the skill bar to fill up is about 10 seconds. The second level takes another 15 seconds to fill up.
frionel wrote:It also seems that when your are alone, you can still cancel your attacks by the quick shift (A+C or B+D), but instead of tagging, your character flash and you can follow it by any other action (like the MAX activation on 2002) and it costs also 1 skill level.

We can see it on 8one video versus Shion, and on the first versus video (kula cancels her st B by a roll).
has anyone performed this properly?

btw, u can press AB(roll) and you would flash blue and roll after ur standard attacks, just like in 2k2.

I've never tried it myself, but the CPU Shen canceled his f+B>f+C into a standing C before. Sounds like some seriously nasty combo potential: jump D, Stand C, f+B, f+C, *cancel*, stand C, f+B, LDM, then qcf, qcf+K

I think that it's just a mistake from me, I saw the A+B cancel on the first videos, and I had never heard about it in KOF XI before, so, I thought that it was a "free" cancel (also because of the blue flash, and the skill level stock consumed by this action)

This hasn't been mentioned yet, but you gain 1 stock whenever you lose a character.

Your opponent gains a little bit of power everytime you taunt them.
