Is This The Best KOF so far ?

I whould say yes, because:

- The balance is improved.
- The characters are fixed.
- All The characters are cool.
- The Gameplay RULZ.
- The combo possibilities are endless.
- The new game style is very addictive.
- The New Judgement system makes the game more active.
- The fastest KOF so far.

Tell me what do you think.

Good question: I was wondering the same thing myself, though the balance is a bit suspect. But the almost limitless combo opportunities and fast-paced nature of the game makes this game a keeper. At least, I believe this game will see far more action from me than KOF2K3.

I think it ranks amongst KOF2K2 and KOF98 for its playability and fun factor. Of course we'll have to see how KOFXII turns out. KOFXI already has so much new and old features that I'm afraid it'll start to balloon into MvC2 proportions in the next game.

Hmm...I think KOF2k2 is the best, but KOF XI is the most fun.

I've always liked playing aggresively and fast paced and XI caters to me on that point

I didn't find KOF 2k2 any fun....

Is just a bad 98 version, but i liked NW a lot.

KOF 2k2 cant be better than this.... Kof 2002 is just tooooo overrated.
IMO KOF 98 is without a doubt no.1, KOF XI 2nd, KOF 95 3rd, KOF 2002 4th

XI was much better than 2003. I suck at XI. I barely play it(main reason why I suck so much), but it's one of my favorites.

maybe most mistake "played the most" with "best" so far.

I played the shit of out 2k and 2k1... doesnt mean they are the best.

Ive played kofX1 a bit and its obviosly better than 2003 in every way, and its not the same as 2k2.

So those naming 98... i dont get it 2k2 has the same engine plus more options.

I think is has to do with the times and the fact the many changed their lives 4 years from 98.

-Many played 98 the most.
-Many didnt get to play 2k2 early and feel left out.

meh, i forgot where this rant was going... oh yea, 98 is the overrated one.

I liked a lot this KOF, in my opinion is the best, the only bad thing is the loading time before battles :mad:

The best KoF ever? Probably not.

Better than what we've been given for over 2 years? Heck yes. This game is very playable, tournament worthy, and overall fun. This *is* the KoF a lot of people are playing (sans the people who are too stuck on their KoF 98 and 2k2), and it's great. Character balance still needs some work, but it's not a COMPLETE mess like it was in 2k3, NW, and that god-forsaken thing called SvC. This is probably one of the top three KoFs I've played - right up there with 2k2 and 98. I'd probably rate this higher than 98 mainly because I'm one of the few that disliked playing '98 - I am well aware of its quality, but I really did not like it as I probably should have.

But hey, YMMV...

i think xi is the best kof so far.

other kofs may have better backgrounds and sound.

but ist the engine that counts for me.

98 was great no question but its a litle to oldskool for me nowadys.

2k2 is surely the 2nd best snkp game now.

but i never really liked the maxmode system.

and it has awfull athmosphere (2k1 and 2k3 also and especially nw) if you are used to all the older kofs.

xi imo has the best grafics and sound since the good old days when snk was snk and not snkp.

its fast and dynamic and the qs system is the 1. (it was a little worse in 2k3 imo) bigger new engine feature (strikers maxmode or the nw modes) since 98 that really feels fitting to kof.
and you can avoid bad matchups with it.

the combos are much smoother to pull of and the normals feel a little better now too i think.

skill points are an awsome idea too.
you can do huge combos or a saving shift.
but you cant do it all the time.
and especially not at the beginning of the fight.
all this makes it a really tactical kof.

its the 1. kof in years with now bigger flaws imo.

and i love it

*it has even gotten me off of world of warcraft for 3 weeks now^^
