Hard to say since I'm still in the 'trying to figure out the game and getting my ass handed to me as a result' phase. Early signs are positive, though.

Just FYI you can change the language of the demo in the options, just go to the fifth option down, change all three choices to English and exit the menu, and now everything is in English.

Also, if you just want to practice multiplayer without worrying about other players using your inexperience against you, you can start a private match without inviting anyone and all your opponents will be CPU controlled. Still pretty crazy but much easier to get the hang of.

Thanks for the heads up, much appreciated.

Spending some time with the demo, it seems Max Anarchy might be loads of fun, but it's very chaotic in nature so I wouldn't be surprised to see all kind of brokeness in it. But yes it FEELS fun, I wasn't following the development much but now I'm definitely on this.
I really enjoy its excessive style, it's pretty obvious this was done by the people that made most of the cool Capcom games.

'Chaotic' is the right word. Couple of things I'm trying to figure out right now:
- How does hitstun work? Seems like if I'm hit from the back it lasts longer, making it hard to recover if someone ganks you while you're attacking someone else.
- Is there any way to counter the powerup mode if you don't have a powerup handy, besides running the hell away? Seems like even if you block you're going to get guard crushed in a jiffy.

Well not much of a real counter, but a spin attack will buy you some time with its large invincibility.

As for me I seem to struggle with the lock-on/camera. I guess I should get used to turn around and reset the camera with R3. I actually pushed L2 a couple of times as it was God Hand - warm feelings.

I'll wait until we get the demo stateside. It sounds like it's fun.

Seconded. This is like what - four players at once, right? If this is a decent title maybe it can be what SSBB and UC2 were back in the day (i.e. a fun ON multiplayer experience).

The game types in the demo are four-player free for all and 4v4 team deathmatch, but there are other modes, I believe.

As for the demo showing up stateside, given Sega's sudden release date change I don't know when that's going to be.

Sega shows its classiness by delaying the game's release in the US and Europe to Q1 2013 and not even letting Platinum Games know in advance:
http://twitter.com/PG_inaba/status/214995622628036608

This in spite of the fact that the game is already complete, internationalization and all. Maybe it didn't fit into Sega's budget for this year, who knows.

On the flip side, apparently the 360 version of the game is region-free, so you can import it if you want to play on 360. The PS3 version is of course region free as well.

Sega has finally deigned to allow this game to be released in the US:

No idea about Europe :( I'm still getting it, though.

Bumping this to remind everyone - Anarchy Reigns is out in the US on 8th January! Preordering from Gamestop will apparently get you Bayonetta as a playable character plus two additional play modes (Dog Fight and Mad Anarchy - the specific rules are outlined here: http://www.platinumgames.co.jp/anarchyreigns/?page_id=2).

I'm getting it for PS3 since I suspect that's where everyone else is going to be (and assume Sony will have my PS3 back to me by then).
