KOF XIII @ Hypespotting

Hey guys. I'm part of the Versus-Scotland crowd, and we'll be hosting our first major event on the the 24th and 25th of March. It'll be held in the Thistle Hotel in Glasgow.
As of a couple of weeks a go we got Rising Star on board with it and so King of Fighters XIII will definitely be one of the games on the roster!

I don't need to worry about KOF not making it through the public vote now.

If there's UK guys who would be interested in coming up we're trying to get together some info on the best priced hotels in the city centre ( the Thistle itself is a bit pricey ), there's plenty of hotels and hostels around though.

In the meantime for any Scottish guys who feel like getting some games of 02UM or such in the meantime, a group of us meet up in Twitch Gaming in Edinburgh ( just on Nicholson Street ) every Wednesday night. It's mostly a case of MVC and SF4AE but I've been trying to get some guys into KOF a bit more in the runup to XIII ( which quite a few people are hyped for! ). And over Glasgow way quite a lot of guys play on Thursday nights at a place called 1LevelUp ( in St. Enoch's Square ). There's a good 3 or 4 who will play KOF if you show any interest in it.

is anyone going? I had my EYEs on this one for a while but the fuck is happening on the weekend when Ive got one of my friends from south america coming to visit me!!!! X__X I need to pick him up from london HT in the afternoon on tha saturday ....... I am extremely pissed off about it coz I am sure I can take it ^__^''' Hori will be giving away sticks I think.

Sweet! It would be great to see some KOF buds popping by to tell us how bad we are.
Out of interest, Mature, are you from up here in the lands of the wild haggis? We have fairly regular meetups in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee which often see some KOF getting played.

We has a trailer! We've also updated the rules and format to announce that all 4 singles tournaments will be group stages into double elim. brackets. Group stages will be done on the Saturday, with brackets, finals and the two team tournaments on the Sunday.

Big thanks to all who came, especially to Giga D and Gunsmith for coming up and giving us some love. The event went great and we good turnout for KOF with just shy of 30 competitors in all.

Congrats to Giga D for taking the crown, the winners' final between him and Ryan hart was probably my hype moment of the whole tournament.

Considering the only problem was the Internet, you can safely say the event was a success!!!

That moment with the EXDP clinching the win was the best, afterwards was a bit dry tbh, which is why if I ever get my hands on a tourney again, there'll be none of this continuation or bracket resetting business. KOF is too long for that.

Oh and I'll be sending a WHOLE ARMY of ON'ers for Hypespotting II. Blatant! TOO MUCH FUN!

I'm gutted I missed the facepainting!
