Acho (Kyoto) as usual yet again uploaded more tournament vids for our professional(?) enjoyment.
.... And to be honest, as soon as I saw the vid I thought to myself "bah, yet another tier whoring fest" but within the 2 on 2 teams there it was this Elena player that simply made the viewing a different experience, I highly recommend checking him up. No Yun scrub made it to the finals.
After the tournament there are some after play tournament vids but those are hideously boring personal challenges, yuck.
For the sake of posting.
edit :
This video comes from a 3rdStraik centric youtube channel that has been uploading vids since forever and is still active.
I accidentally ran into this event and I thought that the concept was pretty interesting. Basically it's an all out fight "for the strongest", each players get a score that start on 0 , if you get to +5 victories you win the game, if you get to -3 you are out of the game (apparently, though, players don't leave the game immediately but are only kicked out for the later rounds).
For each round, players are shuffled on teams of 3 and fight it out, If you get 3 wins in a row you get a seeded position for the next shuffle (aca, the 3rd guy of the team). The format itself was pretty interesting with players of similar strengths as getting to +5 or -3 needed a lot of work, the format itself seems pretty good for events without many attendants specially if some more rules are detailed.
The announcers are very loud
Other rendition of the event, but without special rules :
