Wow - Scout is easily my worst class; I can barely get two or three kills a life. If anything I'm amazed you did so well without crazy jumping (which seems to be the cornerstone of the good scouts I've faced) - whats your secret for such 'on the ground' success?

Trying to move unpredictably + twitch aim, I suppose. Although I'm not particularly good at either.
Jumping like crazy is only really useful for a few things (like avoiding rocket splash and trying to take down Heavies)...for the most part even at top level you don't see Scouts jumping erratically that much.

Speaking of which, I had a decent run as Soldier last night - new replay coming soonish.

I play every now and then. Mostly Sniper. I suck, but all the newbs make me feel better.

Anti-K: I added you to my steam list; I'm chlorinesting or V-Savior or something along those lines (I forget)

We have what - five people here that play TF2 now then (SS, Pen2, PS, AK, me)? With it being free to play I think more people should join in - we could have some ON matches.

TFS now has Borderlands-esque Eridian style energy weapons for the Soldier.

After playing with them and against the thousand other Soldier's using them on each server I can safely say SS is going to hate this...

Question: Wasn't there a time when the Dead Ringer was manually activated? I seem to recall having to hit M2 to trigger the fake death but now it just happens if you have the DR up and get hit. I never really used DR at all so I'm not sure if I'm remembering it correctly or not.

If it makes you feel better, goofy lazers (I refuse to give them a dignified 's') are banned on a few servers I play on. Even on those where they aren't banned next to no one uses them.

If you do quit TF2 however can I have your Killer's Kabuto? Always liked that hat...

The DR always worked like this:
- Press M2 to 'prime' the watch
- If you get hit while the watch is primed, you 'die' and cloak immediately
- Getting hit without the watch primed will result in you taking damage as normal

And yeah I'm planning a giveaway of my TF2 items at some point. I'll give you dibs on the Kabuto.

What SS said but to be more specific, any damage you get with the watch being active would cloak you, so even if you're taking fall damage, or get burn damage, your cloak will still activate.

Thanks. I saw your backpack on your twitter link (where did you get so many hats!?) - if you don't have any other people interested there's a mess of stuff I'll take off your hands (i.e. Bounty Hat, Troublemakers Tossle, Fedora, Unusual metal, pyro weld mask, refined metal, paints). Of course I realize I'm being all "gimme gimme gimme" so feel free to slap my hand away.

We never really played together too much (seeing how you love payload and I soooo do not) but it sucks to see you go (not that I blame you considering the way TF2 has changed since the original version). More importantly if you find a great new FPS let me know - I'd be interested in checking it out.

Well it's not really a 'new' FPS but I'm probably going to return to Quake Live. Old game, but still solid. And free!

And since I'm a premium member I can create private servers, lol.
