It looks like a japanese Location test is gonna be held in for about 3 or more weeks. Since you can't really tape movies nor kidnap children in japanese arcades, we are likely to get very little footage.

Jun looks boring. Her new moves don't resemble neither soft karate forms nor kobujutsu styles (her whole point in Tekken2 was being accurately close in the martial arts department), plus she looks like a generic post teenager girl ~~~~ yet still a teenager girl. I was expecting something more.... Solemn and cool, like the baa-chan sensei from crouching tiger hidden dragon.

I'll stick to Asuka and her country accent, thank you.

Jun is a waste of a character slot and so is Christie / Eddy if they dont change them. They changed Panda / Kuma in this rendition so why not chreddy aswell..

Anyways Jun is also a waste tbh. Why not Kunimitsu or Dr. B (So ive been told they rather them). I bet you that Jun will somehow be in T7 too after this...

Many costumizations are sex oriented and that's what pretty much pushed namco to separate Eddy and Christie, also they body sizes are different and that ends up in that they play very differently even though every move is the same sans the throw. For example Christie has some easy to do and juggles that are quite deadly, but Eddy can't copy them even though the moves used belong to him as well; even with that there is no huge balance difference between Eddy and Christie even though they have different areas of expertise (I know a lot about the subject since I have been fighting off the characters since like forever and more than one of my friends main them).

Well, Jun in Tekken Tag was... Crap. She was one of the few crap tier status character (along with Kunimitsu & P.Jack) and not only she was weak, but she was frustrating to use and thus there it was really no appeal to her. Well, from the characters missing from tag in 6 only Michelle and Ogre were popular, so it's natural that every other character feels like "it wasn't called for".

Asuka has never been like that, by her first appearance she was so revamped that she didn't play at anything like Jun, not only her old moves worked differently but she had a tons of new moves to rely upon on. Asuka never went near that stigma of "Useless & Boring".... Considering that, there is a lot left to do for Jun to be a viable character this time around, but I suppose properly that they are going to add a bunch of new moves to her since she is outdated by something like 5 games (4, 5, 5.1, 5DR, 6, 6BR... It's 6 games), so in any event this Jun is not going to resemble the old Jun at all (and they already achieved that with the looks)..... It's like they actually acknowledged that she didn't had any fans in the first place (no one mained Jun, not even in 2 when she was good).

You can tell that Jun's new moves are cheap and don't work like Asuka's moves; she also has a stance something that Asuka never had. I should say that all of those people that were crying "Bring back Jun" but never touched the character are annoying as hell (those guys are obviously a bunch of stupid Jin players that want more plot device for their poster boy)(+ they already confirmed out Kunimitsu, so that shuts up a faction, at least :P).

Im aware of the differences with Eddy and Christie but thats the thing, to me they are the ones that should share a single slot and p = eddy, k = christy. End of the day, its just reach thats the main factor. It was like that in DR but 6 expanded for single slots where I feel its not necessary. Again with Kuma having mishima style moves and panda having ling moves warrants them having a seperate slot.

They're still doing this for TTT2 because they're separate people. People want to have Eddy and Christie on the same team, not have to choose between them and then pick someone else, or be forced to use Christie if someone else is using Eddy.

And anyway they do have move differences, they have different throws, which means they have different oki options after throwing. Sure everyone would like to see more difference than that, but it's still a difference.

It's like the Street Fighter players who bitched about Karin and Rolento not being in Arcade Edition or the "no Mai no buy" guys. There's just no pleasing the fighting game community.

And if Namco is trying to keep the story going, how are they going to explain young Heihachi?

Is true that TTT2 is non canon, but who knows, maybe Xiaoyu's time machine made the trick!

A thought about young Heihachi: I think his old va died recently, and maybe Namco pulled a Zato-1/Eddie thing. And obviously TTT is ideal to test the water so to speak.

I dont see how a voice should change anythign that much. To me, should of stayed old....

For example, Paul got a new voice (i do believe) and he is still looking the same.

Right now, in what it is voice direction Tekken is heading in a strange path. With the change of VA (Voice Actors) so that some character speak on their native language we have that the characters are voiced by one guy in their introductory poses, but when it comes to fighting they use another voice (the old voice sample from 6BR), with some characters that really feels odd and pretty much almost everyone suffered from this. This actually comes from Tekken 6 console and Lili, who had another "girl" dubbing for her in scenario campaign mode. This feels like dubbing from a C movie where the guys speak on engrish, but when it comes to battle the kiais are made by the original actors.

Misc Info : Jun Kazama is voiced by Noto Mamiko... While I hate having a 50year old hag sounding like a teenager; I kinda link Jun to the relevance of Himegami Aisa, so it seems like a proper choice. Xiaoyu's voice actress was changed to Sakamoto Maya and (as pointed out previously), Heihachi is now voiced by Ishizuka Unshou, so that means that only these "3 characters" feel completely different voice wise from the rest of the cast and different of how they were before.

From the "old characters" some got reprised by their previous VA, those are : Lee, Lars, Alisa, Jinpachi, Kazuya, Jin, Zafina, Asuka, Yoshimitsu and the rest I can't tell for sure xD but aside from the Korean & Chinese dubbed characters, everyone is most likely a victim of the dual VA syndrome.

Oh, and if you are interested, I made a "non comprehensive" list of video footage in Some other place. The footage easily exceeds the 40hr mark and is dispersed through the thread (I advise browsing from bottom to top, as that's latest to earliest). That list is obviously much more complete than anything that you'll see in an actual Tekken community since it's me we are speaking off (I doubt the other forums have a psychotic stalker completionist serial killer let's spare no innocent lives I eat babies who has formal formation in 5 languages type of guy floating around).
