Move support in the PS3 version, for the ten people who actually bought one of those overpriced things

The game is out now! Started playing it last night - good stuff so far.

Drop a note here if you own the game on PS3 or PC and want to play co-op.

I just bought the PS3 version but I think I'll wait for a review to make sure I'm not getting "Orange-boxed' again

You won't be - the PS3 version was made by Valve this time rather than EA, and they've gone on record as saying that the PS3 version is the 'best console version' because of its Steam integration.

Got the game today, PS3 version. I'll probably start playing it tomorrow. I wouldn't mind playing co-op at all.

I just beat single-player. As for what I thought of it...*copy-pastes from Facebook*

Just beat Portal 2's single player. Took me about 8 hours total - I don't know wtf the guys who said it was too short were smoking. That said, it was kind of easy, so I hope the co-op stuff is more challenging.

And actually it was about 8.8 hours, so closer to 9 really...and I haven't touched co-op yet.

So, having beaten both single player and co-op (with PenPen) here are some thoughts on the game - I'll try and keep it spoiler-free.

Overall I thought the difficulty wasn't really high enough for me. Both SP and co-op campaigns spend a fair amount of time introducing new mechanics and they don't really throw any puzzles at you that use all of them in interesting ways until the very end. I admit that co-op fared much better in this regard, though, mainly because you have to deal with twice as many portals with interesting restrictions on your characters' movement. You might say that the first Portal wasn't particularly difficult either and you'd probably be right, except for the fact that it also had Challenge Mode that let you play harder versions of some of the test chambers as well as attempt challenges like least number of portals used, least time taken etc. Portal 2 has none of that as of now, although single player and co-op challenge modes are supposedly going to be part of the first DLC.

That said, the writing and atmosphere are still great, and at least partially make up for the lack of challenge. The game is actually available discounted from many places right now, so if you can pick it up, I'd recommend it.
