Pro and Noob play

Hi, I have been playing kof 2002 online and I noticed something myself.

Before I got better, doing mixups and lots of crazy stuff i used to win against noob players, but nowadays I can have a good match between a medium/pro player that BC into combo and do 100% but I have a hard time agaisnt Sloopy players.

Its weird, I was all confident because I won a match against a guy that I didnt stand a chance in the past, and right after I was defeated like... 6x2 by someone who spamed fireballs, used air CD and down D... ONLY, no combos, no mixups, no mind games. Actually, all my mindgames didnt worked because he didnt knew what the mind game was supossed to be at all.

Anyone shares the same problem?

That sounds more like lag play

In an offline match, you can dodge all that stuff, but when you have lag, then you're trapped because you can't move around as freely.

For example, in an offline match, if you see the fireball coming, you can jump over or roll through and punish - in an online laggy match, because of the delay, you will jump too late.

Is that what you are experiencing?

I Have been playing on Kaillera since my PC can't connect on GGPO or Supercarde... and Kaillera sucks xD

I intent on buying a xbox360 to play 98um and 2002um, I just jope its lag free =]

lag won't change- it all depends how far away your opponent is. Don't buy a console till XIII comes out.

98 is not lag free, in fact it is rather unplayable unless you find someone with a good connection. The netcode on 98 is a lot worse than 2002s, if you want a snk game with a decent netcode get NGBC. Although the community might be gone by now, if you want to play either on NGBC or 98um give me a shout we can see if we have a decent connection on 98.

I have 98UM, 02UM, and NGBC, and would love to play online with someone sometime. I just am not very good yet, and haven't found much time to practice lately.
