The alternative medigun that grants 100% crits sounds awesome.

Yay Fuu :D

I know Tard plays a lot on European servers, so you might be able to play with him. My ping on UK servers tends to scrape the high 100s, but I might be able to join you sometime.

Continuing my proud tradition of double posting in this thread!

Valve has confirmed that the next achievement pack is for the Pyro (yay!) One of the weapons they're trying out is a replacement for the axe called the "Axetinguisher" (lol) that does half the damage of the normal axe, but always crits when you hit an opponent who's on fire. This should make ambushes a lot more rewarding (and a lot more than run in, set people on fire, get blown up by stray rocket).

They're also claiming that the Pyro class itself will be getting some changes, so that should be interesting to look out for.

In addition the next 'meet the class' video will be released around the same time, and will be for the Sniper.

I hope they buff the Pyro, he, along with the scout, seems to be low tier in that they have far too many bad matches. New axe seems like it'll be a much needed buff. :D
No one catches a Runner. That's kinda the point.

This game has been staring me in the face for a long time, but I've been worried about how well it will run on my PC (Nvidia 7600GS 512MB, P4 3.0GHz, 1.5GB RAM). Now that its price went down to $19.99 (on Steam, at least), and seeing the regular updating Valve has done with the game, I have to let out a resounding "Fuck It" and will be purchasing TF2 soon.

that's pretty much my configuration, and the game runs flawlessy at high details, so go on!
On a side note, it must have been a lot of fun playing spy before people started spy-checking every 3 seconds :(

I wonder what the two custom maps are. My guess is that it's ctf_turbine (which fits the theme) and maybe cp_castle, both of which are great maps on their own, and both are the earliest good custom maps in TF2.

Also from SS' link I found this out: http://3decade.com/
Really nice maps, those two.

One of the best ones yet, if you ask me :D Watch for a cameo from a familiar face from TFC!

In addition you can briefly glimpse one of the new Pyro weapons:

People are speculating it's a flare gun of some kind.

yeah meet the sniper is my favourite and the most elaborate by far.
I hope the achievements for the pyro are less insane than the medic's :|

The achievements look more sane on the whole. I think I might actually be able to get some of them!

Some of them are hilarious, though. LOL @ "OMGWTFBBQ." I guess the Pyro's secondary taunt does damage now :D

The new Pyro weapons sound great...particularly liking the new secondary fire on the regular flamethrower as well as the flare gun.

EDIT: According to PC Gamer UK you don't need to get all the achievements to unlock the bonus weapons - they are unlocked at 15, 20 and 25 achievements for the Flare Gun, Backburner and Axetinguisher respectively (there are 35 achievements total), so you don't have to get the silly ones in order to get your new Pyro bling.

 Holy shit, Valve wins.

EDIT: Bought it earlier today, and I have to say that TF2 is my new favorite multiplayer FPS. It really is a fantastically done game. Again, Valve wins.

You might catch me online as "Sigma Draconis". See you there.
